Godot

Use of the limitation
You blow fallen leaves into a bonfire to keep it burning. Each day lasts only as long as the fire stays lit, so staying warm is what decides how long you can play.

Cookies eaten
A whole lot of Oreos. And I built enough bonfires to roast a mountain of sweet potatoes. 🍠

Really liked the retro graphics and the simple cosy autumn theme of this game. Its whimsical music really compliments the style and it's very intuitive and easy to play. I really enjoyed this game, would play again!

It's cool and addictive! This is the best game I've seen on this jam!

Wow, 1 person and still on the year, it turned out damn cool

Wow this is really well made and has a lot of polish. Really cool to see made in such a short time it almost feels like a finished game but the progression is much quicker than typical incremental games which is perfect for a jam entry. Congrats ! If you don't mind sharing, which method did you use to spawn the leaves, are they individual nodes or is it a multimesh based approach? Do they have colliders for the wind ?

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!

No nodes or MultiMesh. One Node2D keeps the leaves in an array and draws them all in _draw().

No colliders either. The wind is just a range and angle check from the blower, and leaves inside it get pushed toward the fire, which works as a kind of aim assist.

That's so sick, thank you for the explanation. I've yet to reach this level of Godot !

Really good game! Good visuals and audio, the incremental progression felt really good, i never had any down time as a player. Only thing i could recommend is maybe adding another mechanic for the player to interact with later in the game. Like the tornado is cool but the player doesn't really get any new active mechanic.

THIS MIGHT BE IT!!
It's a perfect little game.
I got the concept of cozy, pixel, and incremental type of what you're trying to do.

Well polished and would love to see this game released.

One of my favorite games in the jam so far! I really love the idea and the execution. It has so much potential, I'd love to see how this could evolve with more content. Great job!

Super fun game!

This was fun. Oddly enough, I'm reminded of Vampire Survivors. The exponential progression system is seriously addicting, even more so when it correlates to the number of things moving onscreen at any given time. I felt the ideas for upgrades, even the initial ones, were clever. Great work!
