My only question is, at any point will Norah be romanceable? 🤔
Starmaker Story may contain content you must be 18+ to view.
The creator of this page has specified that it contains mature themes and content. Please enter your birthdate to verify you are 18 or older:
Only thing that is confirmed so far is that we get to watch her get fingered by ghosts, though it seems likely. One thing that is also confirmed that there is a set narrative around a mother/daughter relationship between Norah/Alice so threesomes will not be an option 😭
My hope for Norah/Alice was to have a corruption path to make either or both cuties or goths but that does not seem the direction the story is going in and will be more of a paranormal theme...
Hi! I wanted to ask a quick question about the missions in the game.
Sometimes the game tells you what to do, but it doesn't explain the specific steps or conditions required to actually progress. You often have to ask the community on Discord for help, only to find out that you needed to complete a few extra steps, choose specific dialogue options, or perform certain actions in a very particular order.
I think the game would be much more enjoyable if players could figure things out on their own without constantly having to look up solutions on Discord.
I'd also like to suggest adding some kind of warning before important choices that could significantly affect the story. Sometimes choosing a specific dialogue option or even saying one particular word can completely change a route or cause you to miss entire scenes without realizing it. It would be helpful if the game gave players a subtle warning when a choice could have major consequences, perhaps suggesting that they save their game before proceeding. This would allow players to make informed decisions without accidentally missing important content.
Will the upcoming version address these issues and make missions and important choices clearer? If not, I'd like to offer these ideas as suggestions for future updates. I believe these improvements would make the game much more enjoyable and accessible while still preserving the impact of meaningful choices.
While the current quest tracker is buggy as heck it is meant to be getting a fix in 1.9
The Guide & FAQ thread on here has a Walkthrough Google Doc to help understand how the different dialog choices results in different routes today.
Every time an important dialog choice is presented today the screen will go letter box until an option is selected to clearly indicate this is an impactful choice.
Hello there,
just like Ckyman says, right now the quest log is messy and doesn't advance with the user after certain points but it's something that is addressed for 1.9
As for important choices, same as said, the screen changes to advise of an important decision. As for others, this is a route game where decisions are mean to have an impact so the game wont advise on what happens for picking a choice(outside as for when sharing or not is involved), if you pay attention to the dialog you'll know where it goes.
Greetings to everyone who’s here! So much has happened in this time that it’s breathtaking — the year 2026 really turned out to be amazing. (This is an untranslatable joke) I wanted to share a wish that will reach everyone: good luck in the future ahead. I don’t know what will happen to you or what will come your way, but I believe something awesome is bound to happen!
I just wanted to share my appreciation for what you're creating with Starmaker.
What I love most is that you're building a world that exists independently of the player, rather than one that constantly adapts to their wishes.
Characters have their own personalities, motivations, and boundaries. Choices have consequences, and not every opportunity needs to be available. That's exactly what makes the world feel believable and worth exploring.
I also really appreciate that you listen to the community while staying true to your own vision.
So many games focus on graphics and endless content, but very few create a world that genuinely feels alive.
Starmaker is one of those rare exceptions for me.
Thank you for your dedication, and please keep following your vision!
Forgive me if im mistaken, but the majority of assets in this game are AI generated. What exactly is the justification for going so long without main page updates if the brunt of the work being done are things like lighting and writing? Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the project so far, but it seems odd for there to be no easily accessible updates on the state of the game from the page here on Itchio.
basically adding more after another and i think Kal bloated the update himself. I can understand that being a perfectionist on the craft. Also I think this is his first Unity game as his other projects use RPGM. So it's not just lighting and writing, but also tidying up things that are already in the game + new contents. Lots of expectation on his shoulder proven by the feedback on the threads here
First of all, yes CGs are AI generated, but this doesn't mean that development becomes instant.
Kal still does a lot of post processing and other things. And the amount of content in this sole update is much much much more, than most games get in a year or two.
Just trust the process. Kal has a great reputation, and he never failed fans in terms of content quality.
Not in mean way but he put this on himself with the really rigid thinking instead of adapting. Maybe starmaker really was a side project at first. It's not. Not anymore. Maybe he wanted to keep things clean. No added content past 2.0. 2.0 being the final update. Only solid updates. 1.1. 1.5. 1.8. only letters if it needs a gamebreaking bugfix. Because of his imposed rule he HAS to add as much as he can creatively within one patch.
Is not really a self-imposed rule. Starmaker was and continues to be a side project. That doesn't mean he doesn't love the project, hence why he is trying to put all of the content he envisions into it. Starmaker has been a wonderful game with which he has learned more about unity, and it continued to grow because every time is almost done, he thinks about something else that would be good to have and so he works on it.
Hello there,
To clarify a common misconception with the game: This is not a "ntr phone" game, the AI is an assistance tool, not an automated game engine or a magic wand. It doesn't write code, design minigames, construct story pipelines, program shaders, or set up interactions. Furthermore, main characters like Sofia and Charlotte require extensive manual artwork, retouching, and editing beyond initial generation.
Beyond the art assets, this game features customized systems, and a large volume of content—all being developed entirely by a single person. In solo game development, a project of this scale standardly takes years of full-time work, regardless of the art pipeline used.
