I agree, longer jams somehow make it harder to figure out what you can realistically fit in. I've still got mush to work on in that regard too ;)

This was fun though! The part in the intro where he casually cocks his gun cracked me up lol. Loved the goofy writing and all the different mushroom enemies too. Really liked the artwork too. Nice job!

Hehe, mush, mushroom pun :]

Thank you so much for playing, i'm glad you liked my silly little game!

Really enjoyed this game. I made it to the wizard but the game crashed when I touched him XD. I really liked the artwork tho. I would definetly say, if you keep working on this, make the artstyle of the game a bit closer the thumbnail style, and I would also give it Enter the Gungeon type controls.

Thank uou so much for playing! Im sorry you ran in such a gamebreaking error, i unfortunately cant even imagine why it might crash there, i will look into that after the jam.

I really liked all the different enemy types; very creative! I especially liked the one that chases you after attacking. Great use of the limitation as well.  Happy to say I was able to beat the wizard :) Thank you for making this game!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! Desighning the enemies was one of my favorite parts of development, there was supposed to be more. All of them are real existing mushrooms :]

I love the intro to this game, it’s so silly and fun! :D The character / enemy design is also really nice! While playing, I just wished the aim direction was separate from the player’s movement/facing direction. Even so, I was able to defeat the wizard and free the forest from the curse!

Thank you for playing! :D

I got taken back to when I used to play journey of the praire king in stardew valley with this ahha. It was such a fun game. Good job!!!

Developer

The game was fun! I really love these types of games and had a blast playing it (Loved the art aswell)! I ran into a few problems tho (I got insta killed by the mushrooms that shoot at you [i was full health] and had to reload the page because it was just a black screen, and also the music at one point turns into static) other than that I enjoyed my time playing it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing and for reporting the problems you ran into while playing! Im planing on expanding this project after the jam, and i will look into the bugs you mentioned! :)

Fun game! Reminds me of binding of Isaac, running around rooms fighting different enemies. I’m glad to say I beat it first try :D. I am a little confused on what the limitation is. I had a lot of fun great great!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, im glad you liked it! The way i tried to interpret the limitation, is that you can never go back into the same room - the path changes every time you enter a room, so its when you're not looking at a room that you're not in it changes. I hope my explanation makes sense :)

Ah yes that does I see it now! Thank you!

A cute idea!
I am not a big fan keyboard based shooting, but the aesthetics are really cute and intro is peak lol!

Developer

Thank you so mush for playing! The intro is one of my favorite parts too, i had a lot of fun writing it :]

I love the idea of the protagonist having a straight up gun in the forest lol. I’m terrible at both shooting and dodging, but I still enjoyed playing through it!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! :]

A very funny arcade-like game! I loved the style on the mushrooms, and the music is funky and nice! Nice job!

This reminds me of the arcade minigame in Stardew Valley in a good way :) The art is nice, and the music is not distracting (although it sounds very metallic). I will say, that the jam's limitation was done right, but I didn't like it in this game. The levels being randomised felt frustrating to me  as a player. I always wanted to remember where to go, but couldn't. So you go from room to room and often you encounter the exact same enemies 3 times in a row.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for your feedback, this limitation was pretty hard to come up with ideas for, i understand why the randomizing of rooms can feel frustrating here. The fact that it reminded you of Stardew means a lot, ConcernedApe is a big inspiration for me :)

What a fun game! I discovered I'm really bad at 4 direction shooters and the mushrooms outsmarted me many times. Love the art and the writing though.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing, i'm glad that you liked it! Even tho i made the game, i'm pretty bad at 4 direction shooters too :P

Pretty artwork and a cute protag (of my exact favorite color, lol)! Controls feel smooth, but I think the enemies kinda got stuck in the walls most of the time for me. :(  Balanced on the difficult side, but I've managed to reach the boss room. Congrats with making it on time, I kind of feel you, finishing a 1-week long jam felt easier than having 2 whole weeks, surprisingly XD

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing! The enemies were a pain to program, i had to cut a lot of corners there. Exactly, longer jams seem like they're supposed to be more chill but they somehow always end up feeling more intense than 48 hour jams! But every jam is fun gamedev practice anyways :]

Very cute

thank you :]
