I LOVE this game! It reminds me a lot of Costume Quest, which I adore! The visual style is really cool, the music and sound design fits well, and I can tell that a lot of thought was clearly put into the items, characters and game mechanics. I haven't beaten it yet but I will definitely be trying some more! I'd be thrilled to see more added to the game, but even as is, it's a treat!

Thanks so much! I actually looked at Costume Quest to make sure it wasn't too similar to my idea before I got started on this haha

I clearly never knew how much I needed a trick-or-treating rougelike visual novel.

This was an absolute delight to play. And also to hear. And see. Just all the senses being 100% entertained.

I feel like not only did this work out incredibly well and feel balanced but there's also such a nice base here to play with if you all ever DID want to expand on it. It's satisfying and fun. The music and animation when you're being hunted is SO tense. And the way you use the camera in every scene is clearly well thought out and effective.

Amazing work.

This was so much fun! I could only afford the werewolf costume, but there is so much in this game, I love it. Absolutely going for more playthroughs when I have time later <3

Developer

Thanks!! :D

The directing on this was out of control! The movement in the environments gave it a real sense of scale. The visuals and setting were really giving Nightmare Ned. I super liked the look of it. :D.

Developer

Thanks! Nightmare Ned looks cool, I have to check that out :)

This game is absolutely amazing! The way the visuals are animated is incredible. It feels like I’ve discovered such a hidden gem. Thank you so much for creating a game with such beautiful visuals! I especially love the visual direction and how you make the artwork move and feel almost 3D. It’s truly impressive!

Thanks so much!! I was a bit scared of using Ren'Py's 3D stage tools, but they're not that bad if you don't mind fiddling around with it. Your game looks awesome too btw, I'm excited to play it later! :)

Such a wonderful, classic Halloween vibe.  I adored in combination with such vibrant and modern visuals.

Developer

Thanks so much! :) I look forward to trying your game too!

Love the art style. Very Burton-esque. The fleshed out gameplay loop is fun and thematic, and somewhat challenging! QTE were harder than anticipated. xD Also great that there's accessibility settings.

This was great, loved the mix of rogue lite elements. Art and Music were fantastic.
