Fast-paced Halloween arcade action is a fun and different take on a horror jam game, and the name Gloam suits the mood well. Players have been leaving friendly comments, which is a good sign for a solo entry. Congratulations on finishing it! If you have a spare few minutes, I would love for you to try my entry, Last Sweep.

he game is a masterpiece, it's highly addictive! 10/10! Beautiful sound, design, and mechanics!
I made a video of your game! It's at the 13:20 mark of this video.
Gameplay could be a tad more involved, but pretty fun for what it is.
Also, it's pretty well polished.
Good stuff.
Very fun game that gets hectic the further you go along! It's like Pac-Man but spooky-themed!
Really cool, I just love one button games--very intuitive to just pick-up play! Sound effects and art/animations are really good, it feels very nice overall, just to interact with the game. One small question and suggestion, are the power orb drops completely random? If so, you could perhaps make them appear in a specific pattern. I sometimes got couple of them one after the other, and sometimes got no orbs for a long time.
They are random. There is a one in four chance of one of them appearing each time the dots spawn. Perhaps I should have structured it better and maybe thats something to do in an update after the jam is over. When we were play testing we found that this felt about right. Any more and they would spawn too often and on later levels you were running around the track so fast that power orbs would spawn at a rate where you were essentially always invincible. Theres a tricky balance there but I think we can find it. Thanks for your feedback :)
Nice game, very arcade and definelty can catch you very easilly. I believe that adding more stuff like abilities diffrent type of enemies, could make this game something very interesting. Hope you keep working on it after the jam!!
I had a lot of fun playing this game! Such a simple but really enjoyable concept. Loved the art and music too. Great job!
Very simple but the vfx and sound effects feel so juicy and satisfying.
The only nitpick I have is I wish the tutorial was a bit more interactive. The game opens up with a lot of text to read for how simple the gameplay is when all you really need to know is tap to turn around and dodge the fire. (The mania mechanic is pretty clear from the visual design of what's happening) And those bits of text could be splashed on screen while the game is being played
But yeah that's a tiny nitpick. I really enjoyed this one
Got to level 110, and found myself playing it multiple times. The visuals and sounds were quite satisfying.
Fun little game I'd play to beat my friend's high score! Lots of fun, and I can see the potential if you continue working on it. IE: new levels and power-ups (would feel very ball-pit-esque). Overall, 9/10 for what it is; would play again!
