Incredible

This is amazing on so many levels! It’s impressive that you didn’t use any game engine, but I SERIOUSLY LOVE the sound effects. Genuinely, they’re the best. I can’t stop laughing (in a good way, they really made my day lol).

The gameplay is also really nice! I love the ability to parry, and the UI is super cool too. Very cute and fun! Great work!

The music doesn't fit at all. I like the font and UI tho.
EDIT: Oh, and the character model is very recognizable compared to other games. That's good!

Great artwork and gameplay. Literally no complains whatsoever, it's crazy you didnt use a game engine really

Haha thanks for playing! To be honest I find it harder to use the existing game engines than just write C or CPP, I may make my own at one point in the future though

Very well done models, cant believe how much was accomplished in the time allowed. Amazing!

Very cool game, can't believe you coded all this in freakin c++ (I am never touching c++ again after college) with animations, particles, UI, etc. Spells feel very fun and all very useful in their own context. I wish the protagonist was slightly faster though, so I could dodge a bit easier when my shield is out.

How did you compile C++ to WebGL?

Developer (1 edit)

Glad you liked it, I used emscripten, it compiles C++ to WebAssembly. the game was already on SDL3 + OpenGL so most of it carried over, just had to tweak the shaders for WebGL2 and let the browser run the main loop :3. On the C++ I personally like it, just massively prefer C over it as C++ has gotten bloated over the years.

Very nice game ! Hard at first but the managing of the ennemies becomes easier as long as I played. The sound effects are really nice and cute.
