Really fun horror concept! The creepy rabbit masks create a surprisingly unsettling atmosphere, and the hide-and-seek gameplay makes the experience feel intense. I especially like the idea of hidden eggs and secret endings that encourage exploration. Great work on the presentation and atmosphere! Happy Game Deving! 🎃

Developer

Thanks so much, really appreciate it! Making those masks unsettling was one of my main goals, so I’m happy that came through. Glad the eggs and secret endings made you want to explore. Happy game deving to you too, and good luck in the jam!

An Easter egg hunt with creepy bunny masks is such a fun horror idea. 😄 Nice work!

Developer

Thank you! I loved the idea of taking something as wholesome as an Easter egg hunt and making it creepy. Glad it landed! Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment.

I wonder whats the ending... I could only get to 5/6 eggs...

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! 5/6 is really close. The last egg is a bit sneakier than the others. [hint: “try checking the corners near the stage” / “it’s somewhere the hunters like to patrol”]. If you find it, you’ll get the full ending, so I’d love to hear what you think of it! Thanks again for giving it a go.

That was pretty intense hide and seek. Those rabbit masks are too scary! The jumpscare too...
It is easy to lose the pursuer though. Got the golden egg and secret ending.
I think the level need some improvement. Like the hiding places. They should be put near walls/stage borders. Putting them in the middle expose player's back to another enemies.
Good polished submission. Scared me.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, and well done finding the golden egg AND the secret ending! Not many people have found that yet. Really glad the rabbit masks and the jumpscare got you.

The hiding-spot feedback is spot on. I didn’t think about how spots in the middle leave your back open to the other hunters. Moving them against walls and the stage edges makes a lot of sense, and I’ll do that in the post-jam update. I’ll also make the pursuer harder to shake so the chases stay tense.

Thanks again for the detailed feedback, it really helps!

also can you try mine to make sure mine is working?

Developer

I did some research and are you maybe using FireFox browser to play the game? If yes, please change to another browser and see if my game works. I would really appreciate the feedback and to see if that fixed your problem. Thank you for the comment

Flipping the Easter egg hunt so you're the one being hunted is a great twist. The stealth toolkit (killing your flashlight, throwing stones to pull the hunters away, sprinting being loud) sounds well chosen for tension, and a golden egg that moves every night is a neat reason to replay. Headphones strongly recommended is my kind of game, too!

If you have about 10 minutes, I'd be really grateful if you'd give my entry Forever a play. It's a pastel dating-app horror set in Valentine's week, with two endings, and it runs right in your browser. An honest rating or any feedback would mean a lot!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words. It was a genius idea that came to me after a coffee fueled sleepless night. I hope to implement more if these mechanics in future games. Your game Forever was a much better horror game, had me creeped out the whole time! Everything of the best for your game development journey.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the comment. You cannot move during the intro scene in the store. Only after a while , are you able to move around. Apologies for not mentioning it in the game. Hope you give it another go!
