Anything extra you want to tell the players?
Hey, sorry if some ends are broken. I'm sick and didn't have time to write and re-try things as much as I wanted. If you find bugs please tell me, it will help me fix / improve the game after the jam !

I am not a player of pure narrative games, so please take the following with a grain of salt.

First and foremost, the game looks wonderful. I love the art style and look of the game, it definitely has a charm to it. It took me a while (toward the final scene with the officers in fact) to understand what is going on, but I think after that it's possible for me to puzzle out what was happening in the parts before. The part that confuses me the most would probably be the first scene, showing two people tied up in a cell/room, and it makes me wonder if the protagonist is the one looking at the two people, of is one of the two people instead. Being the core of the game, the narrative is quite decent, and I think you've done a fantastic job of turning a current event into an inspiration for a game. Well done!

Other things I like:

  • The effect in the last scene looks cool
  • The ability to read previous content is a nice touch
  • Music is great
  • I love how the text is shown on screen, with a good pacing perfect for reading lots of text in a game

Suggestions:

  • I think the integration scene can be expanded, as I feel like that should be the core of the game. It currently ends really abruptly and it feels a bit incomplete right now
  • Auto-scrolling would be helpful

It's always cool to see people react to events in creative ways! I think this one of the best entries in this jam, not only because of the idea, but also because of the presentation which is great (I love the art!), great job!

Pretty cool. The art was very nice. The conversations were a little difficult to navigate at first, some auto-scrolling and a bit better highlighting for the conversation options would likely fix that. But other than that it was great

Very nice to play and easy to navigate, and a perfect length of playtime :)

I can tell this project is close to your heart right now :o Loved the shaky effect and the paintings. As for possible improvements, maybe include a border for the buttons, took me a while to figure out which part of the text I could click. And some sounds were a bit louder than others. Very good effort overall!

The art and the music got my attention. I thought your idea was perfect for the theme as well. It's terrible what's going in France right now.

PS:

How would you classify the music in your game?

Hi, thanks for your feedback ! As I still have some time I think I'll change those before submission period ends <3

But I'm going to play your game first !
