Great horror game. Simple and easy to pick up and understand, the highlights on what to interact with the held item helps a lot and it took me a while to figure out last puzzle. Well made layout and makes you pay attention to the sounds and positioning, but a bit too easy, if the guy got some glasses it could be a much more tense game. Altogether the elements work real well and enjoyed the game!

The game is really great. Even though it’s not particularly difficult, it still managed to be tense. At one point, I thought it had ended, but then it turned out there was a whole lot more to it. Definitely one of the strongest entries in the game jam.

Finally completed the game! It was fun and way longer than I expected. Well done! Not sure I fully understand what the ending was about. I'm guessing the previous owner got caught by the monster? And it confused me a lot when opening the cabinet, we got this bright floor plan that didn't show anything more than we knew. But besides that, the game was well put together, and do have some nice idea. Why assembling the house during nighttime is beyond me, but having a monster walk around while you are doing so feels quite unique. The puzzle is a nice touch too.

Other things I like:

  • Squeezy ducks!
  • Circuit breaker failing is quite annoying, but it adds to the atmosphere
  • Ssimple to understand objectives
  • Settings for FOV and mouse sensitivity. love it when I see one

Suggestions:

  • The monster's a bit underwhelming right now, would be a bit more fun if it were smarter, like guessing where you would be?
  • Crouching and sound barely matter right now. Better run to another room when the monster sees you. I guess up the spotting when you are not crouching and doing stuff just to buff the two actions?
  • Speaking of monster sightlines, the main room is a bit empty and too open to the monster. I guess some support walls/decorations to break the sightline. Also, windows on three sides definitely make a bad room to have in real life XD
  • Hitbox should not be present for the chairs and coffee table before they are assembled
  • It's also 100% too dark when the light is not turned on (and even when it is turned on, for that matter), I need to turn the brightness to max just to find the light switches. If you want to maintain the darkness, at least give an outline at all times for the light switches (just like the circuit breaker)

The game is amazing, the graphics are really well done, and the systems are incredibly polished for a 6-day jam, well done!

A Web build would be appreciated. If not, a walkthrough, maybe?

Solid piece! Graphics looked good and it seemed like you put in a lot of effort!

This is really good, i jumped a bit in my first jumpscare, well done! The sound design is the best part by far, and i got hooked quickly with the in-house activities, good job!

Very well made!! I especially loved the sound design and music, and it did feel tense even if the monster was pretty easy to not get caught by. Took a minute to figure out what was going on, but eventually it clicked and the rest of the game made sense quickly after that. Loved it!
