Had the voice lines break half way through interacting with items even after a refresh? No idea what I did differently both times just wandered and doom scrolled! But a neat view, I'd assume this is what a very anxious person feels at the knocking of their door. It looks amazing and captures that old school game vibes, enjoyed the more comedic endings! (Got the pizza, and sore throat ones!)

very cool game, lots of things to do even though its pretty short
This is an interesting take on a horror game, I'd admit. The concept of slowly pulling the player towards the door against their will is really unique, though it's a bit dizzying at times. The voiceover is great too, which I think for a game jam it's always extra effort that deserves recognition. (Why listen to creepy pasta when you are on the brink of insanity XD) Any, nicely done!
Other things I like:
- Doomscrolling in-game
- A lot of interactables
- An unexpected ending
- Itch page looks nice
- Subtitles
Suggestions:
- As I'd said, the forced movement really makes people feel dizzy. I guess removing the forced rotation would help a bit
- A crosshair would be great for interactions and act as a visual anchor
- Final screen is too blurred and too obvious it's a jpeg, which breaks the immersion of the game a bit
Thank you for checking out our game! A lot of work went into it ,especially the voice lines as there are ~100 of them throughout. I agree with the dizzying affect, it can get quite jarring if you have high compulsion and are trying to look away. The final screen was a bit of a compromise as we did want a sort of cutscene but ended up running out of time and had to settle for something simple instead as we had ~4 hours left till deadline and didn't want to risk being late :D I'm curious, which ending/-s did you get? (it gives you one at random)
The best entry I've played so far for sure! I love your humor and the I scanned the QR code it leads to your itch page :) I just love everything about this game. I can't believe I was scrolling in a game, so realistic :) I love how the door pulls you in more as you lose your sanity (This is way better than a meter of some sort). Amazing game, thanks for making this!
Very unique mechanic in terms of being drawn to the door (and very cool implementation!!) I found myself laughing multiple times from the different interactables and the incredible voice acting. Bravo!
This is really cool, very unique gameplay. The apartment is very well designed too. The audio had a couple of issues, so for example until my third time going back the character didn't actually speak so I was a bit surprised there :D but overall well made game
I don't know what to make of this. The room was very cozy and polished. I wanted to check it out, but I kept being pulled towards the door. There was no music playing either. I'd categorize this game under weird for sure.
PS: I tried the game a third time, and this time there was music playing. I also found a room at the back. A lot of effort went into designing the place, so it's a shame that I couldn't explore it a little bit.
Yeah a good amount of effort went into the level design, we had plans to add a toggle for the compulsion effect so players could freely explore, but we completely forgot due to several compiler issues and general Unity jank causing bugs left, right and center that needed addressing first. And we will take 'weird' as a compliment as that was partially what we were aiming for. Thank you for trying our game :)
+1 for the seal. SEAL SEAL SEAL. The interactions are very cute besides the headphones which was an experience. The ending was also unexpected.
