The part about the radio knowing ur name and something outside knowing it too genuinely got me curious.
I love the whole isolated watchtower setting, especially having to keep up with ordinary duties while things slowly get more unsettling.
Was the idea inspired by ur fathers stories, or did u build the horror elements around them later?

Hi, thanks for playing my game! The story is inspired by something my father told me about his time in the army (military service was mandatory back then). The real story isn’t as exaggerated as the game, but I built on it.

If you’re curious, here’s the short version: When my father was stationed near the border, the older soldiers there told the newcomers about a soldier who had disappeared from his post. Before he went missing, he had repeatedly reported seeing wolves watching him from the forest and hearing footsteps near the watchtower at night. When the soldier who was supposed to relieve him arrived the next morning, he was nowhere to be found.

To be fair, I don’t know whether the story is true, but it terrified me when I was young.

ahhh okok! Thats such an interesting story, and I can see how it would stay with u, especially hearing it at a young age. Its sounds good to hear that how u have taken that memory and turned it into something of ur own. Thanks for sharing the background behind it!

I'm curious, did u have any other stories from ur father's time in the army that influenced the game's atmosphere?

He had a lot of stories, but most of them were funny or showed how the country’s former communist regime failed to teach soldiers how to shoot, yet taught them how to use a shovel or plant potatoes. Some real experiences that influenced the game’s atmosphere include the exhaustion and isolation that can make you see or hear things that aren’t there and leave you feeling paranoid about everything. He had another story that I might turn into a game if I have the time and can come up with some ideas.

That's really interesting! I think the exhaustion and isolation aspect adds a lot to the horror, especially when ordinary things start feeling unsettling.

btw, u are making me even more interested in the game with every detail u share! I would love to hear more about the creative process and discuss the game a little further, but going back and forth in comments can get a bit difficult. Do u happen to have Discord or somewhere else where we could chat?
