I really like the twin block idea, especially having to think twice before using a stone because its pair moves too. The melting block sounds interesting too,
btw, u are making me even more interested in the game with every detail u share! I would love to hear more about the creative process and discuss the game a little further, but going back and forth in comments can get a bit difficult. Do u happen to have Discord or somewhere else where we could chat?

Ohh, there's quite a lot coming in 0.4 then! I especially like the idea of more personalised characters and the day/night cycle, I think those could add a lot more atmosphere to the colony. The new tutorial levels and improvements to building tools sound really useful too. But on the other hand, I'm curious, will the new art direction also change how the pioneers look and interact with each other?

yeahh!

and i do get the link but whats ur name there??

That's really interesting! It's nice how the actual political events and the Marshal family's history ended up influencing Walter's journey rather than just serving as background details.

That honestly makes the story behind the game even more meaningful. I think it's lovely that working on it gave u a chance to revisit the happier memories and remember all the little things u shared with her

I think that's a really valuable lesson to take away from a first project, especially when u have so many creative ideas you want to explore.

yeahh that would work! but we can also chat on priv too?? like i would love to connect tbh

That's really interesting! I like how u have mixed real historical events with a fictional story while still keeping parts of Walter's background rooted in reality.
but I'm curious, did u discover any historical details during your research that ended up changing how u originally planned Walter's story?

That's genuinely touching. I love how u turned such a personal memory into something that celebrates the time we get to spend with the people we love, rather than focusing only on the sadness of losing them. Thank u for sharing the story behind it, it makes the dedication feel even more meaningful. I'm curious, did making this game change the way u look back on those memories with ur grandmother?

huh? no i am not a bot buddy, i am real

Ohh, I can imagine how much work that must have taken, especially with the music composition and artwork being outside ur comfort zone. It's great that you're happy with how both endings turned out! I'm curious, did working on the endings teach u anything that you'd like to apply to ur next project?

Haha, that's such a wild second idea! I can already imagine how chaotic that gameplay would get,

That's exciting news! Turning the game into a commercial project with new classes, unlocks, monsters and game modes sounds like a great direction to take it.

shooting u a req!

That's really interesting! I think the exhaustion and isolation aspect adds a lot to the horror, especially when ordinary things start feeling unsettling.

Haha, that's actually a fun reason to add something new! I like that it came from both ur own idea and the community wanting to try something different.

I am curious, do u see racing becoming a bigger part of the game in future updates?

Oh, the weapon variety sounds like a really exciting addition! Giving players the freedom to choose a weapon that suits their playstyle could add so much more variety to each run.

Ohh, so u had quite a few different directions in mind before settling on the stun bomb!

Oh, thats interesting! I can imagine how tricky it must be to balance the technical side of one ability while figuring out the right concept for another.
I'm curious, did Tear's ability go through a lot of different ideas before u settled on the final one?

Oh, thats a pretty cool progression system! Having 10 Ascension ranks with each one introducing its own challenge sounds like a great way to keep players pushing further.
have u already planned the rules for all 10 ranks, or are u still figuring some of them out?

Thats a really interesting way to approach the game! I like how the day and night cycle shaped the rest of the mechanics, and the Diablo 3 inspiration makes the evolving boss encounters even more interesting. btw do u plan to introduce more unique boss fights as players progress?

lol, sometimes the best ideas really do comes in the toilet!

I'm curious, did u end up using the second idea for anything, or is it still waiting to be explored?

ahhh okok! Thats such an interesting story, and I can see how it would stay with u, especially hearing it at a young age. Its sounds good to hear that how u have taken that memory and turned it into something of ur own. Thanks for sharing the background behind it!

I'm curious, did u have any other stories from ur father's time in the army that influenced the game's atmosphere?

The latest changes look really thoughtful! I especially like how u have made resource shortages and delayed deliveries easier to understand instead of leaving players guessing.

But on the other hand, I am curious, are there any bigger features or additions u are hoping to introduce in the upcoming 0.4 update?

Congratulations on the full release!

Adding two new endings and improving the instructions based on player feedback are such nice additions. It's great to see how much the game has grown since the original demo.

but on the other hand I am curious, was there a particular ending u found more difficult to work on than the other?

ahhh this looks like a really well developed project, and its clear how much effort has gone into improving the overall experience.

The latest update seems especially useful, with all the language support, performance improvements, and fixes.

but i am slight curious, which part of the development process has been the most challenging for u so far?

This looks like a really well thought out project, and the this update seems to add even more depth to the gameplay. I especially like the idea of Ascension levels bringing new challenges and rewards.
I'm curious, are u planning to add more Ascension levels with unique mechanics as the game develops?

This looks like a really fun and creative project, and the new character additions sound like a nice way to keep things fresh!
but I am now curious, which of the three was the most challenging to design, especially when it came to their special ability?

haha, Pokémon racing with actual karts? Thats such an unexpected addition, haha. I really like how this update adds something completely different from the usual battles, especially with the three circuits and online races. I'm curious, what made u decide to add a racing mode to the game? Was it something you'd been planning for a while or just an idea that came along during development?

Congrats buddy on getting the full version out!
I really like the idea of having battles happen right on the exploration map instead of switching to a separate arena. The four regions sound like they've got quite different challenges too. tho which region was the most challenging for u to design?

Ohh, I love that u are going with a medieval England setting, especially with actual historical figures woven into the story.
I am curious, how much historical research went into building Walter's story, and did u have to make any changes to the history to fit the game's narrative?

I like the idea of having to prepare the house during the day and then deal with whatever comes at night. It gives the whole thing a nice sense of tension, especially with the hunter going after the children.
I am curious, what made u come up with this setup? Was the idea of protecting the house the starting point?

Haha, I love the idea of robbing adventurers graves and then having to deal with the consequences at night. The day and night cycle sounds like a really fun way to build tension.

Did u come up with the grave robbing idea first, or did the whole survival mechanic inspire it?

I really like the idea of fishing for spirits and getting little pieces of their stories as u bring them ashore. Theres something, what can i say, bittersweet about the whole concept, especially knowing it's about memory and saying goodbye.

Was the story inspired by someone close to u? The dedication at the end caught my attention too.

Okay, playing as a young vampire trying to take over Halloween Town sounds like such a fun idea.
I like that u have to build ur strength over several nights instead of rushing straight to the hunter.
btw did u come up with Hannibal and the town first, or was the vampire hunter rivalry what inspired the game?

The part about the radio knowing ur name and something outside knowing it too genuinely got me curious.
I love the whole isolated watchtower setting, especially having to keep up with ordinary duties while things slowly get more unsettling.
Was the idea inspired by ur fathers stories, or did u build the horror elements around them later?

haha, the idea of a little ghost turning lonely people into fellow ghosts so nobody has to be alone is honestly adorable. I love how silly but wholesome the whole concept is. I'm curious, where did the idea come from?
Did u guys always imagine the ghost as this cute little character?

Okay, the idea of a garden that completely changes once night falls is so lovely. I really like the little details, especially the flowers glowing and hidden paths opening up. It sounds like such a nice mix of cozy and mysterious.
Did u come up with the garden concept first, or did the night creatures inspire the whole idea?

hahaha! driving around a Halloween city collecting pumpkins actually sounds pretty fun haha.
I like that u added the little pumpkin characters too, gives players another reason to keep exploring.
Did u come up with the idea specifically for the Halloween jam, or had u been wanting to make a game like this for a while?

hahah! I wasnt expecting a boar hunting game to have an existential horror twist, thats actually pretty interesting. I like how the hunter's actions come with consequences.
Did u always plan to make it a horror game, or did that darker side develop along the way?
