This demo was really enjoyable, and I think I'd agree with the other comment that it feels like a high quality audiobook. I really REALLY want to see this piece be successful so this comment will contain quite a bit of unsolicited advice (sorry).

What I really liked:

  • UI design, art, and presentation: This VN is stunning and I mean it. The layout of things, the accessibility of things and the overall design is amazing and highly polished.
  • Voice acting and sfx: The voice acting really brought this experience to life. The variety in accents is great, and the background noises really put me in that space
  • 90 day fiancé is still a thing in this universe

What I think would add to the experience:

  • More showing and less telling: I think why this reminded me more of an audiobook than a typical visual novel is because the narrator genuinely is doing so much of the heavy lifting. I don't mind his smooth voice but it does lean heavier into the novel than the visual. Like when it was describing what Avorad was handing to Ilona, I don't mind having the narrator tell me about it, but I'd also like to see a visual of it! I'm pretty sure this is limited due to time constraints of the jam but I hope this is something you'd consider for the full game
  • Maybe a shorter intro/reshuffling of events: This is completely a personal preference thing but I found the intro at the cafeteria a bit too long. I think it's important for world building and to show people more of MC's backstory but I don't think I was "deep enough" into the experience yet to pay attention to all the details given at that point. Again you might want other people's opinion on this!

Great job nonetheless, looking forward to the full game!

Haha yes the bad ends are supposed to be a bit creepy! Let me know if you need help with the reset!

Thank you for playing it <3

Thank you so much! :DD

You and your team did an amazing job drawing inspo from it and it definitely highlighted the game for me out of the 400+ submissions lol. Will let you know what I think on Astra Inania's page :D

YOU GET IT!!! I think there is something very bittersweet about that feeling. The reason you feel sad about growing apart is BECAUSE you used to be so close and nothing really compares to that. The existence of that relationship in itself is beautiful, even if it did not last forever. I'm so glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings with me!!!

It's the maker of Astra Inania!! The game is currently on top of my queue because the art/setting reminds me a lot of Citizen Sleeper!! Playing it today and thanks for checking out Abandonware :DD (also sry the game made you sob)

So horribly sorry about the game making you dizzy - I've just patched the game with an option to toggle the CRT filter. You can find the button on the bottom right of the login screen next to the journal and reset buttons. I hope you're willing to give the game another chance!

Higurashi is literally one of my fav VNs of all time, so this is SUPER high praise for me thank you so much!!!

love an intruder that respects social boundaries very nice yes

Peak. Genuinely made me laugh multiple times throughout.

you breaking my legs ova heea

Thank you for your kind words :)

Thank you so much! I'm so glad it was fun :D

Thanks for playing! For ending completions you can always check your journal at the login screen! A new entry = a completed ending (I'll add that to the game page when editing is allowed again). For restarting, there are 2 endings that forces a restart and a true ending where you can manually restart in the login page. I'm no super sure which one you got but hope the info here can help you navigate the endings/restart system!

Ahahahaha hi Tori 🌹🌹🌹

I saw you on the jam/Stella stream and was thinking "hmmm wonder what they'll think when they see my characters share their name"

If it is TOO ODD I am willing to make a version for you and all the Toris out there with a gender neutral name of your choice ;) just let me know (it'll have to be after submission deadline tho)

Good: I got scared by the empty shampoo bottle

Bad: I have a photo of beans in my bathroom

Ahh I'm sorry about the confusion. I'll see if I can include something in the game page to clarify things a bit more! Thank you so much for the feedback.

That is the end of that route! You get to restart/do another route by resetting MirrorOS (log off -> advanced). There are hints for that puzzle in the game page towards the bottom!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! (*´∀`*) Thank you so much for playing <3

I really enjoyed it and super excited to see how it ends! The voice acting is honestly great and really boosts the humor in the game :D

Just a quick note however that there are some small typos in the current version, like "appartment" instead of "apartment" and "roomate" instead of "roommate".

Thank you so much! I hope it was an enjoyable experience despite the sad nature of the story :) Your game looks very interesting as well, putting it into my queue once I wrap up my to-do list for Abandonware!

Please don't threaten her with a good time...

Simple but fun!

Thanks! If you don't mind waiting a day or so I'm planning to patch the game with some bug fixes and some additional content. Would be great to get your thoughts based on the new version :D

Hey! Great work on your game, I read your devlog as well and can relate to the feeling of wanting to perfect something but feeling burned out.

The void of space cosmic horror/horror of the emptiness really comes through in this game and works really well with the Totalitarian government background :)

Great to know, thanks for sharing!! :)))

Thank you so much! I'm glad that your feedback reflects my own concern, I'm currently working on more gender-specific content :3

If you dont mind me asking, did you prefer the catching up segment more or the ending segment after the "reveal"?

Thank you so much!!! That's the best compliment ever <3

Wow you work fast!!! Very excited to try out the narrative mode in the next few days :) Hopefully I can get a fuller picture of the story

Genuinely so impressed by the puzzle designs, how easy they are to understand within the time limit but also just challenging enough to be a fun experience.

Hey! Just wanted to say as a fellow Spooktober simulated desktop dev that I really enjoyed the mystery and puzzles behind this game.

Not sure if you're open to feedback but I did find this game quite challenging puzzle-wise and would suggest an "easy mode" that has unlimited quota per day (maybe a button to manually progress to the next day), so that people who enjoy the narrative/want to read everything in order to put all the info together can do that without interruption.
