It's giving me the creepy vibe, I ended up with the ending where the whole thing frozen and all colour inverted. Gotta have to replay this somehow.
Haha yes the bad ends are supposed to be a bit creepy! Let me know if you need help with the reset!
The dialogue and UI really felt so natural. Brought back many memories and all those nostalgic feels! The music player was such a nice touch too. Lovely entry, thanks for making it!
Thank you for playing it <3
I would really want to enjoy this game but I wish there is a toggle to turn the blur off, since I do have astigmatism I can’t finish the game due to dizziness trying to focus but I like what I see so far! Great job!
So horribly sorry about the game making you dizzy - I've just patched the game with an option to toggle the CRT filter. You can find the button on the bottom right of the login screen next to the journal and reset buttons. I hope you're willing to give the game another chance!
OMG OMW PLAYING IT AGAIN
Congratulations, you’ve made me sob over a not-ICQ. Jokes aside, I love the aesthetic of the game. Brings the nostalgia out.
It's the maker of Astra Inania!! The game is currently on top of my queue because the art/setting reminds me a lot of Citizen Sleeper!! Playing it today and thanks for checking out Abandonware :DD (also sry the game made you sob)
I love that game, both CS1 and CS2! I’m quite amazed you identified one of the key inspirations for our submission. ^^
You and your team did an amazing job drawing inspo from it and it definitely highlighted the game for me out of the 400+ submissions lol. Will let you know what I think on Astra Inania's page :D
This made me feel prickly inside, the nostalgia and the idea of not wanting things to change from how they used to be is real!!! Whenever it seemed like my friends were growing up/growing away from me I would always try to wrangle them back and tell them that things didn't have to change and we could still hang out like we used to. I still find myself feeling that way from time to time so this game tapped into those emotions for me!!!! Lovely work and the dialogue is sooo natural and amazing!!!!!!!
YOU GET IT!!! I think there is something very bittersweet about that feeling. The reason you feel sad about growing apart is BECAUSE you used to be so close and nothing really compares to that. The existence of that relationship in itself is beautiful, even if it did not last forever. I'm so glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings with me!!!
I see old messengers in a game, black out, and hit download. For real, the art really blends well with the retro filter. It gives it a nice dreamy feeling. And you have a workable music player! Very cool.
Thank you so much! :DD
Such a fun and nostalgic experience!! Really enjoyed the chemistry and the dialogues. Was shocked by it and completely immersed!!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad it was fun :D
Immersive experience. I always like the old OS UIs. This one's done pretty well. I'm not sure if I actually got to the end or not. Don't want to include spoilers here. But it seems like it restarted and I'm not sure if it actually did. :'D
Thanks for playing! For ending completions you can always check your journal at the login screen! A new entry = a completed ending (I'll add that to the game page when editing is allowed again). For restarting, there are 2 endings that forces a restart and a true ending where you can manually restart in the login page. I'm no super sure which one you got but hope the info here can help you navigate the endings/restart system!
Oh, okay! That helps, thank you. I'll play it through again just to figure it out. :D
this game gives a very nostalgic feeling, i love the art style and the music, very good entry
Thank you for your kind words :)
The ending to this is so powerful. That was a really clever way to do something like this that I haven't seen before. Hits so hard with Bird's Song playing too.
Thank you so much! I hope it was an enjoyable experience despite the sad nature of the story :) Your game looks very interesting as well, putting it into my queue once I wrap up my to-do list for Abandonware!
