Um, keyboard is actually completely supported. I play this game with keyboard too. The keyboard is not recognized only if two controllers are already connected OR a device connected to your PC "fakes out" as a keyboard.

The default controls for keyboard are Arrow Keys for movement, C = selection, X = cancel, following the convention of Japanese PC games. They are mentioned in the first pop-up that asks you if you want to play the tutorial

Hi, I am sorry there were issues with the explanation of the mechanics. What were the problems with the in-game Tutorial? What wasn't clear enough there?

I am not at all familiar with Witchblade. What is it about?

[MORS BLADE] is the result of a two-months-long hyperfocused deep-dive that originally started as a stress relief project (and whose scope broke containment like heck, of course).

It evolved into a behemoth that spans 80k words, 4 routes with individual endings, 65 hand drawn sketches, 44 inked A4 pages, a lot of digital color, background photos from all over the world (I have taken 99% of them personally in the past 10 years) and zero generative AI.

As an ESL writer, it has been quite a challenge to reduce spelling and grammar mistakes to a minimum, but a welcome one!

[MORS BLADE] is suitable for ages 16 and up and can be played in the browser (even on phones =P).

Now that the jam is over, I can say that this was one of ny favorite games re: general ideas and execution! Steamy, you didn't miss at all!

One of my surprise pick favorite of the jam. The idea was great and now I want to see a full tokusatsu fighting game with this mechanic!

One of my absolute highlights in terms of innovation, I wish it was a little more complete but I loved what you went for!

Now that the jam voting period is basically over, let me tell you that I really loved this game. The gameplay flow was great and I had a lot of fun with this. Excited to see what the other judges thought of it!

Very atmospheric. Never trust a stranger that offers you a bizarre cassette tape: They might bring you to places you wouldn't expect.

I can confirm Vital Charge as working, I played online sets in it with a friend of mine.

The All or Nothing mechanics is well represented here. Honestly I find the idea of All Out attacks that become less effective the less health you have quite interesting.

The lock on system is actually pretty neat, I can't remember if I've ever seen a game that does it like this! Respectfully taking notes...

Exactly. The judges have a one month time to rate all the games. The panel is composed by 7 people + 3 backup judges that will get in in case we get more than 20 entries!

That was GREAT and oozed style from every pore. I wish I found it sooner. The pre-rendered 3D videos, the real life videos, the CGs and intermissions, the sound design... all of it was awesome. Thanks for making this little gem!

Thanks for the feedback and analysis! I was planning to add a mid-range leaping melee attack too and ways for her to stop the player from kiting. They are on my to-do list and I'm thinking how to implement them properly. 

I wanted first to put this out because it was sitting on my hard drive and went full "screw that, we ballin'," even if it definitely needs more time in the oven.

Tbh the idea of making it a boss-centric game doesn't sound that bad. I might actually do that.

I hope go get a new version of it out this Summer!

Technically, that wouldn't really be allowed because the assets should have either come from public resources or made for this jam - not come from previous games.

Then it's perfectly fine!
