Thank you for your feedback ! Indeed the main goal was to experiment on shaders, and i learned quite a lot ! I unfortunately ran into a lot of dead ends, which let me too few time to make an actual game out of it... the gameplay is rough and polish is almost totally absent. Hopefully next time I submit something more achieved.
The fire theme of the jam is optional. I would have liked a more fire-ish look for the enemy, but I ran out of time. And for the limitation, which is "Only 3 colors" and not "3 colors", well, the game you submitted is clearly breaking the limitation (even when taking a very large definition of color)... So what are you bragging about ?
Thanks for reducing my work to half an hour. I guess that without the learning curve of some concepts I never used and without the struggle of experimenting with shaders, this could have been done in half a day, maybe. Could you at least be a bit constructive and explain why it does not fit the concept ? You are talking about the limitation : "only 3 colors", right ?
Thanks for the feedback, the map is indeed generated, but mixed with a manually drawn height map that enabled me to do the level design. If you escaped from the drawn terrain, you indeed were on an infinite map (with nothing else than dirt and stone, not very interesting). There was a path to the other gold blocks following the cliff near the spawn, but maybe I should have put a sign because it was easy to miss.
