A lot of my samples are pillaged from other people's modules. I've learned basically everything I know about Furnace from downloading project files in the Furnace Discord and studying the techniques that people used. For the SNES specifically, you can find a ton of samples on HVB's guide: https://samplemance.rs/snesguide/samples/repo/
For future goals, I'm working on an NES album currently, though because I don't have a jam to get me on the grind, it probably won't be out for a while. Generally just planning on making whatever I feel like at any given time. Will post anything I make on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@bin6485
Looking forward to seeing what you make in the future too!

Really glad you enjoyed it! I've been using Furnace for about three years now. It took about two months before I was comfortable navigating the UI.
This soundtrack was written very out-of-order and in a very modular style. I would write half a song, then leave it for a few days until I had settled on a motif to represent a character, then write the other half to incorporate that motif. I wanted a natural progression throughout the album (each sound chip starts by playing independently to represent that the band is out of sync, they slowly start coming together in duets, and by the end, all three sound chips are playing simultaneously).
My biggest inspirations are RRThiel and John "Joy" Tay. Both of them squeeze as much as possible out of every channel no matter the sound chip they're using. This soundtrack was actually kind of a challenge because combining multiple chips meant I was less restricted than usual and the possibility of having so many channels at once meant there were an overwhelming number of options.
This whole soundtrack is excellent! I loved hearing the ambient tracks slowly ramp up until the drop in Siren Song. The synths you used were very satisfying in an ASMR kind of way even during the intense parts. This is one of those soundtracks that really makes me want to get in there and unravel the mystery for myself.
Very good start for your first jam! I could definitely feel the vibe of exploring ruins in a sky to this soundtrack. It reminded me of the soundtracks of edutainment games I would play as a kid that would make me excited to explore every corner even on repeat playthroughs. Looking forward to seeing what you do in the future!
I really enjoyed listening to this. There's a lot of 80s-inspired VGM out there but you took it in a unique and interesting direction. The folk and synthwave elements blend really well together, and the instruments you recorded sound fantastic. I could easily see myself fending off some creatures to this and jamming out. Excellent job!
I really enjoyed this soundtrack. I could see myself coming back to it multiple times. To the Cave on an Island was my favorite, but it was hard to narrow it down. This feels like the kind of game I would open and just sit there and chill for a while without making any progress. Really looking forward to seeing what you do in the future!
Really enjoyed listening to this album. I could clearly picture the scenery of the game in my head. The contrast between the styles of the area themes and the battle themes made it easy to imagine the peace getting interrupted, so I think that was a good choice. Illusion Lake and Well of Wisdom are both gorgeous.
thank you for the kind words! the cover art was made by my friend cyanogreen:
