I love the gameplay, with pesky thieves, ranged and melee enemies and the annoying shield guys. The Bosses take this game up a level for me with the vacuum guy being an especially good challenge. This game has a lot of delight in the graphics and shooting action, with a nice gameplay loop of needing to pickup your coins to reuse them. I wish there was upgrade choices between rounds to increase replay via buildcraft. Overall one of my favorites.
This is the game that I keep coming back to play again and again. The buildcraft is what brings me back, but also its a light quick play and there's a tremendous sense of player agency. The enemy difficulty creeps up at the right rate, music is great and screenshake feels like I am doing powerful things.
This feels like a set collection boardgame, but also it has a real-time element that feels best in an online setting. I was really impressed with the amount of polish with a full tutorial, online play with lobby codes, bots, and tons of sets with different abilities. There is so much to consider its a bit overwhelming at first. I liked the little indicator saying what the current auction is worth to me. The Encounters that happen between rounds also make sure that no game will ever play out the same. Also I was delighted to rummage around for treasure in the main menu by clicking LMB. High quality submission!!
I loved getting to redeem a code to get a Gold Skin! Made me feel VIP. The grapple hook mechanic is super fast paced and highly skill-checking. I really liked the amount of polish with having 2 different music tracks between ingame and main menu. Also I liked how the music sped up when I was getting low on health. Sound effects are strong with good feeling of reward when you gobble a chest & super chest. I was wowed by seeing all the ghosts of other players at the start of the level that is super cool. I would like a riposte mechanic for the vents that spew gas from the side because I felt like I was getting hit by those too often and would like a skill check way to dodge through them, and maybe even get paid for doing so! I also personally thought sometimes I would like to have the grapple hook reach farther because if I am stuck on the left and i want to get away from there, then I try to click a cloud near the right of the screen, but the hook wont actually reach that far. The ghosts made me feel like there's a lot of people playing this game.
This game has a mountain of polish with the beautiful sunrays in the shallows to the murky darkness of the depths. The music is fitting for a chillax diving game. The graphics throughout are really well done. Initially I appreciated the challenge of the treasure weighing me down, but the more dives I did, it felt like something is missing to make ascending have more of a skill check and be more exciting. Maybe the diver should be on a rope, and when the player starts being reeled up the sharks come out and you have to shoot them to make it to the top? Lovely UI design and polish on all the assets. I don't think there are any upgrades I can buy to make bigger runs later in my career. The attract mode is cool and appealing. No bugs found.
I needed help to figure out that to dig away dirt with the pickaxe I would need to click with the mouse instead of just pushing forwards into the dirt. I was able to get 2 gold each time I did a dig run, but the cheapest upgrades are 10 gold I think, so it felt like I would need to do a lot of work to advance in the game. I never really encountered any obstacles in the dirt so I am not sure what the bombs are for, although I did use a lot of them to see if that would change the situation. Lastly the radar was an interesting feature, but I was not sure what it was telling me. I think maybe the radar could just be on all the time and help me make progress. The game frequently ended with me having extra time. Maybe players are only allowed to collect 2 gold per dive?
I think the photography system is cool, it was a nice surprise that in addition to position the player needs to manage ISO and zoom, so there's a bit more to it than just walking to a place. It seems like there is a lot of processing going on to verify the player's picture. I did not feel the Treasure theme came across. Maybe if I was taking pictures of precious jewels it would feel more on theme? It was interesting that there is a feature to export an ingame photo to your image editor on your pc. I tried sliding on the slides but they dont slide.
I love the idea of making my own base and coming up with traps for invaders and then going to steal from others. I didn't realize for a bit this is a sidescrolling platformer instead of a top down game. I thought one of the hazards was a green bush I would be able to hide in but it killed me. I was trying to steer with A and D but you can only change directions with double jump. It is very easy to make a super deadly dungeon, and super hard to beat even the simplest dungeon. I think it would be more fun if players had more control when raiding dungeons.
I was able to get this running. It looks like the light in the skybox was removed so a lot of elements in the game are black. It's cool that you were able to do multiplayer with bots. I don't think I was ever able to collect enough coins to upgrade before dying. The amount of game settings in the menu is cool.
I thought the wiggly booty was hilarious. Supporting multiplayer and bots is impressive. There are a lot of configurable settings which is cool. The treasure theme is there with different kinds of treasure contributing to your tactics. The map is well designed for bot play and it felt exciting to play the hider on top of the mountain with all three bots able to chase me up there. It feels a bit like coins don't have a purpose? Character faces are going to give me some nightmare fuel
Extremely fun, bite sized gaming. I think as you play further into the game more instruments get played on the song. That is really cool and rewarding. I love the humor and the juiciness of the boat lurching through the waves. I think a broader selection of powerups would add replay. I enjoyed being #1 on the leaderboard. :-P There is a powerup that shows collision boxes - it feels to me like that doesn't belong since it takes me out of the fantasy of being a pirate. ARRRR! I really liked how every powerup also came with it's own downside.
It feels like a scratch and win lotto ticket simulator. That builds in some excitement. Initially I thought I had to dig down from the top of the card, but actually the player can uncover any square they want. I am not sure if there is a logical pattern to where the Bugs show up in the level or if it is strictly random. The timer applies plenty of pressure I had to play multiple times to complete "all" the levels. Each square has "serial codes" I am not sure if that is intended to be for a cryptocurrency functionality or something? The monkey is cute but maybe a digging creature would match the theme better, maybe he should be a Mole?
I beat all the levels. The tides idea is interesting and the goal of the game is easy to understand. Look n feel is clean and professional. I think more levels would help explore the design space. Maybe a different way of showing the tide effect would make the transient impassability of tide squares a bit more intuitive.
Do you have a working build now? We'd like to help your game get enrolled if it is working, then people can play it. Could you reach out to Spencer on https://discord.gg/96nwV3PWf if you would like to submit a working build?
The western theme is fun and original. I that you set this up as a face to face multiplayer game. I found the lassoing mechanic really hard to aim. Also, everytime I stole treasure from the opposing player, the lasso "broke" as i was pulling it back, which was frustrating. Excepting the Golden Moai the rest of the treasures look a bit like flies. The golden moai is great fan service for the braincloud guys though! The game feels complete and bug free. I liked the time of day mechanic that gave me a sense of round progress.
Wow this game is really fun, I love the creativity of BEING the treasure and fighting the heroes. The bosses are really challenging and good. Those shield minions are the most annoying!! I like the thieves that come to steal your coins. I also like the "traveling" animations between levels. My game only shows "Offline Mode" and only shows "Local scores" on the leaderboard. Could you share the braincloud appid of your game or your braincloud "team name"?
Wow! Good UI, good graphics. The design concept is great. The highlight of the game is that players can create their own vaults and those get served to other players, with replays so the robbed can adapt their vaults to make them harder. This gives a huge amount of replay! And I like that there's a bunch of premade vaults of different difficulty as well. One Polish problem I had is the editing screen seems to have a rendering issue that makes it hard to see my own vault while I am building it.
This game has a delicious creepiness and the theme of "Treasuring" something (instead of collecting treasure) is really original and creative. The scoring mechanic really rewards taking risks. I felt the game is a bit too punishing being a one-hit to fail the game. I wonder if there could be a way for the player to earn some measure of defense though gameplay? I really liked the charm of the mouse and her little star that makes light. The music adds a lot of spooky to the game feel. The deathly eyes and zombie arms that hunt her in the dark match the spooky halloween season as well.
Wow I loved this game! I love the robo cop helmet and build craft. It feels like the upgrade tree will create good amount of replay. There was some decorative elements around the main treasure chest like a bucket and spatula which I wasn't sure if I could activate those or use them in some way. Once things really started getting busy I sometimes lost where my cursor was on screen, but maybe thats just part of the fun. I loved the bosses they added challenge! It would be cool if I started to face multiple of them at once. After a while I think there was no more upgrades, I would like if the game announced "Last Upgrade" to me to reinforce that. I would love to see a mode where the treasure chest was on a train track so instead of staying around the same place so I would have to walk along to defend it. I loved the chest changing as the enemy waves leveled up. The Music is good and put me in the zone. Really fun game.
Three player multiplayer, farm treasure, build treasure mining machines and shoot waves of enemies that attack you. Then upgrade between rounds and get ready before the next wave starts. The game feel is first-rate, with fast, dangerous enemies. I really like the boss demon enemy that can smash you across the room. I love the multiple classes that have very different playstyles and upgrade paths between mining rounds so replay is high. The animated intro drew my attention and the music is good. The personality of the game developer comes through with funny "junk" items being farmed sometimes :-). Again, gameplay is first-rate. Love the fast, classic, boomer-shooter style of gameplay.
I loved the pretty graphics. The music was invigorating. The game mechanic was immediately intuitive. I also liked the "do nothing action" -- i thought that was clever and added a tempo element to gameplay. I really liked the gearing up element with random drops and how I could pick what I wanted to wear between matches. PVP mode was a great bonus mode! There's a lot of leaderboards so people can via for fame in the way that connects to their own personality. A lot of polish. I did not see any bugs. Very nice work!
