Hey Wolfbyte92!

Thanks for explaining your background! I’m glad the elemental concept caught your interest, especially since you’re an Avatar fan yourself!

Avatar: The Last Airbender has actually been one of the biggest inspirations behind Elemental Arena, both in terms of combat and worldbuilding. A lot of the elemental abilities and movement mechanics I’ve designed draw inspiration from the creative ways bending was used throughout the series. The idea of different elemental civilizations, each with their own cultures, philosophies, architecture, and traditions, has also heavily influenced my vision for the game’s world.

While I’m currently focusing on polishing the competitive PvP side of Elemental Arena, I have a much larger PvE experience planned. The world revolves around seven elemental societies, each with its own identity, culture, leadership, and history. I want these civilizations to feel genuinely different from one another, not just visually, but in how their people live, interact, and use their elemental abilities in everyday life.

I’ve already established the foundations of the main storyline and much of the world’s overall direction, but there’s still plenty of room to expand upon its civilizations, locations, history, and lore. I’d love to collaborate with someone who shares that passion for detailed worldbuilding and can bring fresh ideas to the table.

I’d also be interested in seeing some of your previous worldbuilding or level design work, particularly anything from Phasmorph or your other projects that you’re allowed to share.

And don’t worry about your schedule! I completely understand that you’re busy with other projects right now. There’s no rush, and we can continue discussing ideas until you have more time available.

I’m looking forward to potentially working together and seeing what we can create!

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. I'd definitely be interested in discussing a possible collaboration!

Elemental Arena is a third-person fantasy action game being developed in Unreal Engine 5.8 under my indie studio, Flair Studios.

The game revolves around seven playable elements: Fire, Water, Ice, Earth, Wind, Lightning, and Light. Each element has its own abilities, movement mechanics, and ultimate, with an emphasis on mechanical skill, competitive combat, and creative strategies.

The project has two major directions:

PvP: The current development focus. It features competitive 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 modes, with arenas designed around movement, positioning, verticality, and each element's unique abilities. The core elemental combat systems are already playable, and I'm working toward a professionally polished experience.

PvE: A larger fantasy world planned for future development, featuring elemental societies, exploration, quests, dungeons, bosses, and a central storyline. The goal is to eventually create a world that players can explore beyond competitive matches.

For level design, I'm particularly interested in creating arenas that are visually distinctive but also competitively balanced, with meaningful cover, elevation, movement routes, and opportunities for different elemental abilities to shine.

For worldbuilding, I already have the foundations of the setting and story established, but I'd love to collaborate with someone who can help develop its locations, cultures, environments, and overall atmosphere.

I completely understand that you're busy until November, and there's no pressure to start immediately.

I'd love to learn more about your experience with Unreal Engine, level design, and worldbuilding, and hear which part of the project interests you most.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hey Mini Coda Studios!

I came across your post offering free voice acting for indie projects, and I'd love to discuss a potential collaboration!

I'm developing Elemental Arena, a third-person fantasy PvP/PvE game in Unreal Engine 5 under Flair Studios.

The game features seven distinct elemental characters, each with their own appearance, abilities, and personality. I'm planning to give them unique voices, including combat reactions, ultimate ability lines, and victory dialogue.

There's also a separate PvE adventure planned with NPCs, clan leaders, enemies, and story-driven encounters.

The project already has a playable foundation, and I'm currently looking for creative collaborators to help bring the characters and world to life.

I noticed you're offering voice acting for free, which I really appreciate since I'm developing the game without a budget.

Would you be interested in discussing the project? I'd also love to hear any voice demos or examples of your previous work.

Thanks!

Hey ew.DARK!

I came across your post offering to compose music for indie games, and I'm really interested in potentially collaborating!

I'm developing Elemental Arena under Flair Studios, a third-person fantasy game built in Unreal Engine 5. It features competitive PvP combat with seven different elements, alongside a separate open-world PvE adventure.

The project is already playable and actively being developed, although the art and audio still need a lot of work.

I'm looking for someone who could help establish the game's musical identity, particularly a memorable main menu theme, competitive battle music, and atmospheric fantasy exploration tracks.

I noticed you work with electronic, ambient, and medieval-inspired music, which I think could be a great combination for the game's style.

I'm currently working with no budget, so I appreciate that you're offering to collaborate for free.

Would you be interested in discussing the project? I'd also love to hear some examples of your previous music to see whether our styles align.

Thanks!

Elemental Arena — Looking for Volunteer Artists and Developers

Project: Elemental Arena
Studio: Flair Studios
Engine: Unreal Engine 5.8.3
Genre: Third-Person Fantasy Action / PvP & PvE
Compensation: Unpaid / Volunteer
Status: Playable prototype in active development

Hello everyone!

I'm an independent developer working on Elemental Arena, a third-person fantasy game featuring seven elemental combat styles: Fire, Water, Ice, Earth, Wind, Lightning, and Light.

The game is being developed with two separate experiences:

PvP: Fast-paced competitive elemental combat, including 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, ranked progression, training, and multiplayer party systems.

PvE: A large fantasy island with different biomes, exploration, dungeons, creatures, equipment, and a discovery-based Grimoire.

What's Already Been Developed?

This project is more than just an idea. I've already built a playable foundation, including:

  • Seven elemental ability kits with distinct gameplay mechanics.
  • PvP arenas and training functionality.
  • Multiplayer party and session systems.
  • Independent ranked progression for 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3.
  • Career statistics and match history.
  • A functional main lobby with character selection and game-mode navigation.
  • PvE inventory, Grimoire, and three dungeon prototypes.
  • A large PvE island terrain foundation.

Many systems still need testing, optimization, and visual polish.

Who I'm Looking For

3D Character Artists: Create original characters for each of the seven elements. Every character will have a unique face, appearance, and default outfit, with additional cosmetic skins planned.

Riggers: Create Unreal-compatible character skeletons with detailed hand and finger controls.

Gameplay Animators: Develop movement, combat, spellcasting gestures, and unique character animations.

Niagara VFX Artists: Create visually impressive elemental abilities, including casting effects, projectiles, impacts, and ultimates.

Environment Artists: Help develop stylized forests, mountains, fantasy buildings, ruins, dungeons, vegetation, and environmental props.

I'm also open to hearing from Unreal Engine developers with experience in level design, technical art, or AI systems.

Art Direction

I'm aiming for a cohesive, stylized fantasy aesthetic rather than photorealism.

My priority is making the characters, environments, animations, and magical abilities look like they belong in the same game.

Collaboration

This is currently an unpaid volunteer project. I cannot offer payment or guarantee future compensation.

Contributors would receive agreed credits and portfolio permissions. We would establish asset-use rights in writing before beginning any work.

I'm happy to work with people who want to develop their portfolios, gain game-development experience, or contribute to a fantasy multiplayer game.

I'd prefer to start with small, manageable contributions rather than expecting anyone to commit to a large amount of unpaid work.

Interested?

Please reply to this thread or contact me through my itch.io profile.

Let me know your specialty, what tools you use, and whether you have a portfolio or examples of previous work.

I'm happy to discuss the game's development, creative direction, and what we could work on together.

Thanks for reading!

Hey Wolfbyte!

I came across your post about looking to collaborate on indie game projects, and I think you could be a great fit for something I'm developing.

I'm the developer behind Elemental Arena, a third-person fantasy PvP/PvE game built in Unreal Engine 5 under Flair Studios.

The project already has a playable foundation, including seven elemental combat styles, multiplayer systems, a competitive ranked system, and a separate PvE world currently in development.

I'm especially interested in your experience with level design, worldbuilding, UI design, and Unreal Engine Blueprint AI.

I'm currently developing a large fantasy island with multiple biomes, explorable dungeons, and plans for creatures and enemy encounters. I think your skills could be valuable in helping bring those areas to life.

I'm working independently with no current budget, so this would be an unpaid hobby collaboration, which I noticed you're open to considering.

Would you be interested in discussing the project and potentially collaborating? I'd be happy to explain what I've built so far, what I'm planning, and where your skills could fit.

Thanks!
