Excellent game!  In my opinion, an idea like this would have been extremely innovative for the SNES era.

OH BOY, it took me like 6 hours to beat this. Well, here is what I have to say:

  1. The artstyle seems to belong to a megaman DOS game, it isn't bad but certainly not adequate.
  2. The level design is amazing, the main level was well planned and it was really challenging!
  3. Difficulty is HIGH, I literally began to listen "Black Knife" because I was dying again and again (17 deaths)
  4. That said, the music is really catchy and nice to hear, overall, an enjoyable experience as a whole!

Kind of hard, but the Sonic SFX was really annoying.

I detected a bug that happens when you are starting the level, proceed for a while and the game stops for 2 seconds only to continue normally afterwards. Not a gamebreaker but it's bothersome since it alters the flow.

It`s a good game! but I find it a little disappointing how the game doesn't change after you beat the doctor, like, you kill him over and over again but nothing changes and it seems you just can't reach a conclusive ending.

Here are my thoughts:

  1. This game gives me some serious G.O.D.- Mezameyo to Yobu Koe ha Kikoe vibes. The artstyle is quite similar, the story is as obtuse and mysterious and it seems the game touches upon sad themes as well. If you want to improve the artstyle of the game, take some references from GOD.
  1. The protagonist moves like a slug, no seriously. I usually complain about this in the original SNES games but being so slow is ludricous at times, thus, I suggest adding a run button when you keep pressed a certain input.
  2. Speaking of the protagonist, his animations seems to be far too smooth for me. Usually, RPGS like Tengai Makyou Zero, GOD, Final fantasy VI, Dragon quest VI, Breath or fire II or others, use 3 frames for a walking animation so you don't feel that slow. This may be another pet peeve of mine but I wanted to point it out.

It´s fine, but grinding for the boss is a bit boring.

I loved the artstyle of the game. Nevertheless, I wasn't able to beat it! The main character seems to have no means to attack and I can't see anything to be unlocked.

Hey there! I think i won`t be able to join the jam for this year, is it going to repeat for 2026 and the incoming years (or months)?

I usually make pixel art by myself for my games but i had to use an asset due to a small project we are making in college.

Anyway, i wanted to tell you that this pixel art is pretty cute and i like the colors you use, most importantly, i love the simplistic yet colorful style of the game. You are an excellent pixel artist!

I consider the gameplay pretty interesting taking into consideration the mechanic of managing agreements between two different parties. Also, i love how much effort you put into the art, nice!

Hey there! I am a pixel artist with experience in the job and i am interested in your project, if you want to see some of my art here is my portafolio https://www.artstation.com/motoluigi and here is my discord contact if you want to get in touch motoluigi

The art is amazing and i love it´s quality!

It is a really interesting concept and it is a nice way to introduce programming as a game!

Thanks! we put a lot of heart into it!

It´s simple and the concept is interesting. Good job!

Thanks! you were pretty good coding!

You know, even if it wasn´t the best game, i am glad it was the first game i made with people

I am a pixel artist, and yes, i sent you a friend request on discord

So first things first, the name is MotoMario and as you could tell by the title, i am looking for some short projects or commisions to do in order to get some money, i have been practicing pixel art for quite a while and have also participated on some pretty small indie projects like dim and dark or tiny dungeon. Below you can see some of my prior works: These include tiles, overworld sprites, enemies and other stuff i made in my free time. So if you feel interested hit me up at my discord MotoLuigi#9279 or comment in this topic, one thing to add though, i just accept payments via  paypal, without anything else to say thanks for your attention!

I don´t have a generally used resolution honestly, sometimes i make things get smaller or bigger, maybe that is why the post went a little weird, in detail i think i can be pretty detailed if i wanted to, for example, when i make enemies or NPCS i try to be as detailed as i can same goes for icons

Hey, so as you can read in the title i am a pixel artist, i have been practicing pixel art for quite a while and thought i could be up for a project, i have been on some projects before as a pixel artist and i would like to give it another shot to improve, below you can see some of my works:                                     This is a sprite for a character i made a long time ago, his spritesheet is completeThis is also a reimagination of an enemy from the dragon quest                              These are also some Npcs i made, if you feel interested feel free to hit me up in my discord contact: MotoLuigi#9279 or comment in this topic
