Hello! I hope you’re having a great day. ☺️

I’d love to get some feedback on a few specific aspects of Haru's Enigma.

Haru's Enigma is a mystery and story-based puzzle game, primarily inspired by Project Kat. The goal is to solve puzzles by exploring the environment. Every interaction with the game world is designed to help the player logically determine their next move or to flesh out the characters and the game's lore.

The story centers on a screwed-shut box that Haru finds at her school. Its contents lead her to believe there might be a murderer on the loose, prompting her to investigate the situation on her own.

The game is currently in a demo version, which I created to have a public build for validating ideas ahead of the final release. Please keep in mind that the demo is quite short—focusing on the story's introduction and core mechanics—so it may not fully reflect what the final game will be like.

I’m currently looking for answers to the following:

  1. Did you solve the puzzles logically, or did you just click on everything?
  2. Is Haru a likable character?
  3. Does the mystery spark your curiosity?
  4. Based on what the demo shows, what do you think the full game's story will be?

I’d appreciate any feedback you can share here or a review on the game's page. ✨

Development is currently on hold, but it is expected to resume soon. In the meantime, I will create a few short posts like this one and keep track of the feedback.

You can play Haru's Enigma here.

All the best, and see you later! 🙂

It has just been indexed, I received the email from support :)

Ok. Thanks!

Hello! I hope you're doing well.

An executable of my game was released on July 24th, yet the page remained unindexed. I’ve read the Content Creator Quality Guidelines, Getting Indexed on Search & Browse and Unofficial Search and Indexing FAQ. I believe I’ve set up the game page and related details correctly.

There's a piece of information that might be helpful and similar to the situation of other users: before the release, my game had a published page for months. It wasn't indexed because there was no downloadable executable. That was fine, it's how the indexing is supposed to work. But now, even with this and other conditions being met, the page remains unindexed for 2 weeks.

There is no indication that the page is in quarantine or anything similar, at least not an indication visible to a user.

The page is accessible via a direct link (which is how I’ve been promoting the game so far), and the devlogs are indexed normally.

I emailed support about 14 days ago but haven't received a reply. My ticket number is 385564.

Is the game's page going through the normal process? Is there anything unusual? Or did I do something wrong without realizing it?

What's the game about?

Haru's Enigma is a narrative-focused puzzle about a student who must explore locations around her school to find clues about the person behind a screwed-shut box, who was suspected of being a murderer.

The game was made in Godot, but is inspired by some modern RPG Maker-style titles, such as Classmates and Paper Lily. So, the gameplay focuses on interacting with the environment and figuring out how to use the items you find to solve puzzles. Some interactions are only possible under specific narrative circumstances, providing a slightly different experience from player to player.

The demo version focuses on introducing the story and the main gameplay mechanics, taking place predominantly at Haru's house

Why should I play it?

If you are a player who enjoys mystery stories (especially detective ones) or appreciates a distinctive narrative that leaves room for plenty of theories about what happens next, then I believe this game is for you.

If you enjoy RPG Maker-style games—particularly for their visual and mechanics (aside from battle systems and the like)—I imagine you’ll have a good time with this one as well.

Thanks for the comment! I found your service interesting. Once the game's core languages are nearing completion, I'll reach out via email.

Haru's Enigma now features a new artwork (shown above) that will serve as the cover image and banner for the itch.io page.

The illustration was created by Ruan The Designer, whom I’d like to thank for the excellent work.

The demo will probably be released in late July 2026.

What do you think of the art? Does it fit the game's overall aesthetic? Feel free to leave a comment!

Que bacana ver um comentário em português por aqui! Também sou muito fã do jogo, ia ser mt dahora se ele tivesse mais reconhecimento no Brasil

Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks for the comment!

I see that you have already found the solution, but I'll leave a topic on how to solve this in case other players have the same question.

The topic can be found here: https://nayr-dev.itch.io/sabotage-the-cake/devlog/1068377/how-to-reset-sabotage-...

Sabotage the Cake is a seemingly cute game, however, it turns out to be a horror throughout a short and interesting gameplay that challenges your reflexes.

In the game, Laila needs to complete the sabotage of cake preparations without being seen by her sister, filling the sabotage bar to 100% within a short period of time.

I had played Project Kat long time ago too, both games are incredible. I enjoy them not only as a player, but as an aspirant to game developer too, the devlog is very inspiring.

Extra: this print is a beautiful wallpaper.
