Currently undecided. Been trying to work through and finish other projects, and have been pretty busy IRL this year.

Would you ever consider geting other artist/programers involved, or making what you have got open to the public to tinker with? You have quite a few assets from the last version that weren't implemented into the game, and it would be a shame to not see at least those updated into what you have got. You have quite a few fans who would probably be willing to pick up where this was left off
You've all been asking, and well, I'm here to share a little bit of that other project. Know that it is still a long, LONG ways away from being in a state where I can share a demo, but I do still want to share something, just in the off chance that the scope becomes to much for me and I end up dropping it. I've made a folder to show off some of the progress and teasers for that game. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Zux3QEQcTAiKvEeKxXsFNmIiyCWKZ5AG?usp=sharing
not currently, or at least, not in a playable state. It is something i have been working on as i learn rpgmaker, but my choice of art for the character sprites is taking alot longer then i originally planned, and has halted alot of progress. One day i may share progress or the artwork i made for it so far, but as far as being a playable game, that is far off into the future
currently I am still considering options. In truth, I haven't had the time to continue any work on this game as I have been busy catching up on older projects, and as i am currently the only dev, its not always easy to find time . I also do not wish to jump into continuing this until I have it clearly planned out on what I want to fix, what I want to add, and how to best implement both. It could be a few months (or more) until I am able to find time to work on and add a reasonable update.
currently it is still in development. I would have liked to release more information on it this year, but in truth the direction I have taken for the game sprites has taken me much longer to work on then planned. Once those are finished, work should move along more swiftly, but it is still a long ways away. If I feel things are at a state where I can at least share more, or put out a short demo, then I will. For now, know that it's a more traditional style rpg, with heavy inspiration coming from "fey legacy", with my own slight spin on the combat. It's set in a fictional egyptian world populated by catgirls, and it will feature a pregnancy curse that the main character and population will have to deal with.
As a solo dev currently, things may take a while to gestate, specially now that people want to see more cryo-genesis, so i truly have no expected time frame of when things will be ready. It could be another year or two depending before I show more of this game.
Hello preggopixels.
Let me just say I was realy glad to be a part of the jam this year, it has been on my to do list for many years now, and I hope I find the time to join in again in the future. I didn't expect to place so high due to my inexperience, so I'm genuinely shocked to have the placed where I did. I was admittedly very disappointed and hard on myself when the game entered the jam in the state that it was, but it has been encouraging to hear good things people have said about it despite it's flaws.
I'm currently unable to reach out to you through twitter or blusky, something to do with your inbox privacy settings? I didn't see anywhere want the discord contact was?
Thank you for hosting this again for another year.
I will be putting in a fix it for this issue soon.
I did want to do more minigame puzzles...but jam time constraints made it difficult to make anything else work. If I expanded this game more I will be making changes to the minigames to make them more enjoyable, among other things. However, that might take a little longer till that update.
Having the labor mini game distract you from the puzzle was kinda the point as thats what would happen in that situation, but if it's an issue I did make it so that you don't have to do the puzzles in the latest devlog update. As for the bigger hit box, I couldn't figure out how to do it within the limitations of rpgmakers 48x48 tile limit, even though the button sprites are larger then that, so hitting the small square was the best compromise that I could make at the time. If I ever figure it out I will update, though in all honesty if there are any future updates that specific puzzle might be scraped for a more enjoyable one.
I just want you to know you are a legend for offering feedback. I would have never thought of that. Doing so right now would require a complete rework of the framework of this project, but its good stuff to keep in mind and I will sure to use those tricks in the future.
Also just for my own curiosity I'm not familiar with the project that your were providing examples for?
I'm glad the interactions between her and the computer were a highlight for you, they were fun to write, and I would love to add more of that, as well as just extra small interactions on each stage around the ship.
My plan at the start of the jam was to have a few random puzzles much like you suggest, but I was only able to get the one type working in time. A maze isnt too bad of an idea, and could be pulled off easily enough. I had a switch puzzle I was working on where there was a bunch of switches on screen, and if you flip a switch it would turn on or off the switch beside it, and the goal would have been to get all the switches turned on, but it didn’t pan out on the first go so I scraped it for the jam.
"maybe something that affects future stages and how they're accomplished? like if you repair with minimal mistakes it make the next zone easier and you get more time at the end? more mistakes could effect cryo-pod efficacy? or more mistakes could make the baseline difficulty for the puzzles higher?"
Now that is an interesting concept, but might require much more time to implement correctly. Currently that might be outside of the scope of what i want to do with this project, but ill keep it in mind
the airlock is unused, but i did have the idea of her being forced to go outside her ship and do repairs out there as well. Getting repair materials isnt a bad idea though...
