Hi! I tried BLADE BAES: BATTLE LAB!
I played a 1v1 match as Ash against Taís and somehow won with only 2 Spin left after 16 clashes.
It took me a little while to understand the launch-and-steer controls, but once I understood the momentum, the collisions became really satisfying. The visual identity and character presentation are especially strong and memorable.
Thanks for sharing it with me! I’d like to try some of the other characters as well. Let’s both keep working hard on our games!
Absolutely! I’ll let you know when it’s ready, and I’d be happy to check out BLADE BAES as well.
Also, since you’ve already played Possessed Detective on itch.io, if you have an iPhone or iPad, I’d be very grateful if you could download the free App Store version and leave a rating. It would be a huge help to this small indie project—absolutely no pressure!
Thank you so much! I’m really happy that the combination of photographs, possession, and fragmented memories caught your attention—especially since this isn’t usually your genre. That means a lot to me!
I’m currently working on a new Possessed Detective game, featuring an autumnal Japanese setting and a new mystery. I hope you’ll check it out when it’s ready!
Clarification / 補足: There is no daily-play requirement or fixed number of minutes. A few short sessions during the 14 days are enough. If you finish the game in a few days, you do not need to replay it—just remain opted in until day 14. / 毎日遊ぶ必要や決められたプレイ時間はありません。14日間の間に数回、できる範囲で少し遊べば大丈夫です。数日でクリアした場合も再プレイは不要です。14日目までテスター参加を解除しないでください。

Thank you again for the screenshot. I found that the room artwork could shift to the right when the itch.io game frame changed size. This affected the sofa, tripod interaction, well clue, and other rooms. I’ve updated the browser version and checked every room in both wide and mobile layouts. Please reload the page and try again. Your detailed report helped me fix this properly—thank you!
Thank you very much for reporting this issue. The browser version has now been updated, and I confirmed that the room images load correctly in the public version.
Please reload the page and try again. I’m sorry the problem interrupted your game so close to the ending. Your report helped me find and fix the cause. Thank you again!
Thank you so much! I’m really happy you came back and were able to finish the game. Your report helped me improve it, and your kind words and rating mean a lot to me. I’m currently working on the second Possessed Detective game, set in a traditional Japanese world in autumn. I hope you’ll enjoy that mystery too when it’s ready!
Played the browser build, checked the controls screen, entered a level, and tested movement. The purple pixel-art palette and animated menu are charming, and the maze layouts create a nice route-planning challenge. Two onboarding issues stood out: the jam description says “Touch game,” while the controls screen says WASD/arrows, so the expected input is unclear; and after I hit a hazard, the game returned to the menu without a clear death/retry message. A brief first-level prompt and quick restart would make the opening smoother. The character and hazards also become very small in the zoomed-out level view.
Played the browser version through the warning sequence, title, opening dialogue, and the first three-choice prompt. The red-and-black presentation, static effects, and chair scene create a strong oppressive horror mood, and the content warnings are thorough. In my Chrome test, the story advanced normally by clicking, but the first dialogue-choice screen did not respond to mouse clicks or number keys; I tried all three choices. The jam badges also overlapped the game on the embedded page. Clearer choice highlighting and a reliable mouse/keyboard selection path would help. Strong atmosphere overall.
Played the browser build through the opening corridor, jump obstacle, and first enemy encounter. Movement and jumping felt responsive once the game canvas had focus, and the interactive main menu gives the game a clear identity. On the itch page, the long jam-submission buttons overlapped the right side of the embedded game at my browser size and covered part of the first combat encounter. A fullscreen launch or adjusted page layout would help. A short in-game reminder for movement, reload, and shooting at the start would also improve onboarding. Nice foundation for a fast platform shooter.
