Great fun game i like the puzzle aspect to it and the story is well written

Developer

Thank you!

Cool! We have the similar idea, but absolutely different realization! I really liked this mechanics that I needed to talk with visitors and how food inspection works. In combination that all works like a great potential for a full detective/quest like game

Developer(+1)

Thank you! It is always interesting to see different approaches to the same idea. I will make sure to try yours when I can!

Lots of content, a story full of detail, polished visuals, complex dependencies, everything working smoothly and without apparent bugs. I didn't really have much fun though - possibly because I'm not fond of visual novels, and this mostly felt like one. I recall a sense of confusion after the introduction, where the only thing I could do was hit a "Back" button  - it didn't feel right because I did't go anywhere before. A more clear graphical indication of who's speaking would be helpful. Going around the map mostly without clues of where any new information could be expected felt random. Being forced to wait for all texts to be displayed letter after letter didn't feel nice. Ending felt somewhat abrupt. Nonetheless, hats off for what you managed to accomplish.

Thank you for the very good feedback! Having indicators to where each character is on the map was in our plans, but we ran out of time.

Amazing game! I really liked the interpretation of the theme for this game and how the gameplay is intertwined with the plot. Just one suggestion: instead of just deciding if the food is poisoned or not, it would be cool if the players had to choose which poison was used or which ingredient was poisoned so if they miss, they wont know the answer and could try again.

Developer

Muito obrigado! Really nice suggestion, we don't know how far we'll take the project but improving the meal puzzles and making them deeper is on the top of our improvement list.

Yea this game plays and sounds like i wanted to do it in my head at the beginning but by the end happened what happened 😂. great job with plot and scenario. it is really hard stuff what you have made here making all the text plot ... dialogue even if we take 7 days it is harder than average game would take at least for me. cool game overall great music ost overall

Developer

Thank you! It's true that it was a harder game to make than average, and while we had a large team, this fact also brought a whole new set of challenges!

I actually liked the concept of the game. Since I saw purple on the pasta asset i thought it was poisoned and put it on the poison tray. Then I got stuck on a black screen for making a mistake. I gave the game another chance after that. If the gameplay gets polished up a bit more, it can even get better for sure.

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, the gameplay needs a little more polishing and bug fixes.  The purple detail can make the first puzzle confusing and showed a little lack of synergy between design and art.

The hint from Keth was supposed to help with that. But it's not enough yet and we hope to polish it a little bit more in future updates!

Oh wow! Well done on all the hard work, the art and the writing! You’ve taken the time to build a plot, create distinct characters and develop an original lore: it’s really brilliant! The gameplay works really well too, with the different stages of deduction.
And let’s face it: FINALLY a game about food :D It’s the first one I’ve come across in this jam – I’ve been missing that! Congrats!

Developer

Thank you! Our game is resonating very well with some players, and it's making our team very happy!

this was really well done! I enjoyed the mini games to determine if the food was poisoned and the artwork was great

Developer

Thank you so much!

Great design and overall experience. The look and feel gives off a well thought of concept. You did a good job on implementing the dialog and map, however the tasting feels a bit clunky. It was a very good and important design choice to checkmark finished organs and give feedback on what you found.
I'd personally prefer the text intro to be instantaneous for small texts. Showing it letter for letter takes time and to me breaks the reading experience. It would also be cool to transition directly from room to room (more immersion) and have a map on demand. It was fun to taste my way into the story.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and the suggestions! We'll discuss them for the post-jam update.

Great mechanics and visuals! Sadly after getting executed I got a blackscreen (web version).

Developer (2 edits)

Sorry about that. We plan on fixing it in a post jam patch, among other things. The good news is that if you press esc and then restart, you will be able to pick up right where you left off.

Really nice art and good idea!

Developer

Thanks!

Beautiful art, a good story, and it was really fun and immersive to find out whether the food was poisoned or not. Very well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I'm actually not very experienced with writing and designing for narrative-focused games, so hearing that the story resonated well with you makes me glad!

Very detailed game and a lot of game mechanics. Doing it all in a week and in a big team is impressive.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Getting that big of a team on the same page is hard, for sure.

Really Well Put Game, With a Story Line as well Which I was a fan of. Did Run into a small problem of one of my clues being cut off but other than that great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Such a super-cool game! Cannot believe how much you all packed into a 7 day jam. Played it on stream and enjoyed every minute of it. :D

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! Glad you had fun :D

Great job! Incredible you managed to do all the music and art in this one jam.

Developer

Thanks for playing! And I'd also like to thank you for acknowledging our artists and musicians's hard work.

Developer

Really glad you enjoyed it! Our main inspirations for this game were Danganronpa and Papers Please. So if you can remember your game I would love to know!
