How does the game fit the theme?
The main character receives a letter asking her to go to an address, which she does, and she is attacked and taken to a haunted house. There are also various sticky notes that give the player false information.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The music, font, and a blood splatter sound effect were taken from elsewhere. Specific links are on the game page.

This is a very cute little story! And its not too difficult either. This is impressive work for a solo developer. I also loved the easter egg.  Good job!

This game looks so cute like- WHAAAAT! I caught off guard at the first jumpscare! Pretty good and memorable intro. Pixel art sprites looks stunning. Sound effects(jumpscare & talking) are a bit loud than expected i think. Characters walking speed is a bit slow but i didnt get it as a bad thing since it reminded me of Clock Tower(classic game). I appreciate the dialogues, they felt neutral. Also both girls have great taste in books :P And honestly i am shocked you did both sprites and coding. Amazing amazing job for a solo dev!

Nice game! I do wish it was a little less wordy and I didn't like the jumpscares, but that's more of a me thing.

I really like the pixel art, especially for the main character, which expressed her emotions perfectly! Really well done and good luck with the jam ratings! :)

Great game!!! Amazing art and animation. Really exceptional. I appreciate the jump scare warning because even WITH it, that first one still scared the shit out of me haha

Fun experience. The art style is super charming, the puzzles were fun, and that first jumpscare got me way more than I expected. I also really liked the story and how polished everything felt, especially for a solo jam entry! Awesome job!

Loved this one! Had fun being with the characters, the jump scare was effective as in made my blood cold, and i just mostly laughed; Don't really know what to comment on, the art style was lovely and cohesive, the puzzles were fun, the theme, while present, was only touched on- tho i did find the papers funny. After the first room i thought the "prize" would be the yuri collection :))) but it was self concious and funny/wholesome enough that friendship was great too. Thanks for the game! And yes in the first hallway i felt highly seen by Rosemary, but i cannot deny it was funny.
Toodles!

Pretty cool game! I kinda expected a jumpscare since there was a warning but that first one was quite effective cos of the contract in vibe ngl! The game's pretty simple with cohesive artstyle and also great use of sound effects and also the vibes overall. I also love the little easter egg you added lol. I guess the main thing that kinda affected my gameplay was the movement speed which I thought was a bit slow though this is just a super small nitpick. Really wholesome story as well and fits the theme perfectly with the scattered notes. Once I got killed once, I kinda know what's going on. I guess a bit more depth to the mechanics could also make the game much more awesome! Overall, I reall enjoyed the game, it was pretty fun! Great work!!

My ears! That jump-scare did catch me off guard being so early and also blasted my ear drums while being on 5% volume lmao.

Great cohesive art style, with the retro rpg style dialogue - game looked great! Really well polished project- especially with just 1 dev!

hkjhefgbjkerhbg THE FIRST JUMP-SCARE CAUGHT ME SO MUCH hahahaha

This a really good game, thank you I had a lot of fun playing it ! I died way too many times but well, I got caught by your pranks.

I found your super-secret easter-egg too, it's nice !

I don't really have advice to share, I found your game very polished, the narrative was good, the gameplay works perfectly. Your art is original and nice too.

The hairs on my arms are still standing up! What a good scare :) I got stuck pretty early in the game though. Got the cup from the trash, but then couldn't get anything new out of the interactions. Maybe a bug or maybe me just stupid :D

Interesting concept. Nice atmosphere. The scary jump was really effective. I actually just send this game for someone else and watched their reaction XD

I didn’t make it past the second room. I have dyslexia, and my personal “trust no one” is writing. Is there anything after the second room that I should see and that would be important for reviewing the game?

I saved it for later. I’ll come back to it when I have more time to memorize the facts.
Edit: I fins someone to typping for me and we saw easter egg

Really polished puzzle game. The puzzles are pretty fair to solve, and the pixel visuals look good too. No real complaints here (maybe the sound of the jump scare got me a bit). Good job on finishing this solo!
