How does the game fit the theme?
You can’t trust one bug alone, but by combining different bug types and making them work together, you can guide the ball into the goal.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

(In Johnny Rico’s voice from Starship Troopers): The only good bug is a ball-playing bug!

Adorable little bugs! Charming visual style. There’s just something really cool about watching these bugs play with a ball.

I had quite fun playing this, though I cannot say I learnt much about the strategy of how I should place my stuff. But I also didn’t feel like it was the main focus, that its core rather was have things just go a bit wild and hopefully the ball bounces to where it needs to go. With that in mind it is a pity the UX was a bit cumbersome in needing to select eraser to remove and then bug to place again. Rather than having something like left/right click. Also I would have liked to play more with more of the critters, not just the beetles. I think it was only the last level that you let us place different stuff.

Alright, the mechanics are great, I love the grid style based puzzles , great concept. The visuals are okay, nothing special BUT the audio could use some work. The physics are nice and it feels good to play after you understand the objective. This game would be 100x better if it had any type of practical tutorial / text in the background for the first couple levels to teach the base mechanics one at a time. Otherwise, a pretty good game, even more impressive if it was made in 1 day! Great job, keep it up!

Okay love the visuals, concept and audio, but full honesty I didn't read the description until after playing and thought the whole goal was to get to the firefly with the ball since it was golden XD. I kept going "Why am I progressing??" If you throw a tutorial in there I'm sure it would get really popular though!! Please continue it :)

Pretty interesting mechanic with how the bugs interact with each other. The game does need a bit more tutorialisation though to get me to understand the bugs more (even though I read the description, it still took me a while to get used to it). The simplistic design of the game is also quite charming and I love the simple arcace-ish music. I also am impressed that u get to have this much done in 24 hours! Overall, this game needs more polish, but its definitely a cool game! Great work!

Super fun and love the art style!

Cute. The squiggly line art works great with the sfx. I'd go with a brighter/more contrast between the background and moving assets. The bg music brings the game down a bit. First couple of levels would have felt better with just one thing to learn in each, instead of throwing me in there. Ie lvl 12 felt the cleanest starter level. Cool entry!

This game was great! I loved accidently getting the perfect placement of bugs to beat the level In a way I wasn't intending. It'd be great if you could see where the goal is when the physics is playing. Also starting with some simpler levels to get the player to understand the mechanics first would be good too. This game was one of my favorites of the jam so far. It was really fun! Good job!
