How does the game fit the theme?
You are in charge of choosing who enters, quarantines in and exits a bunker in which a vaccine for the deadly "Wheeze" disease is being developed. But you must Trust No One. Anyone could be infected, and thus you must choose wisely, always, for humanitie's sake.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Audio sfx from pixabay, like footsteps, door noises, and the fanfare. But the voice acting is all me.

How many people worked on the game?

Nice game, a gamemechanic to test patients if they are sick and not just looking at them would be great tho

Developer

Good idea! I should include this in later versions.

the news ticker deadpanning that the wheeze has hit every continent including antarctica while a guy in a fedora and a grey hoodie waits at the bunker door for me to admit, quarantine or deny him is a funny little setup, and voice acting is great. good eight hours

Developer

Thank you!

good attempted for 8hs! I need a bit more nuance and difficulty

Not bad. Simple but enjoyible. Maybe a bit repetitive like from the outside look the player can quickly tell who should stay and who should go, but still good.

Also a bit of a "bug". I think the 1st 2 button is a bit "big", like I don't have to click on the play button, I can click anywhere and it will load. Idk if this is intentional or not.

Developer

I actually hadn’t noticed this. It’s really not too big a problem, but thank you for notifying me!

its like tht one outbreak game , cool :)

The voice acting is really well done!

Really interesting that you add voice on there, but adding captions for they speaking can be more helpful. However the game itself is too easy and the game process is somewhat boring that makes me to feel want to lose on it. I am not saying that this is bad, but making the gameplay more fun and encourage people to play is very important. While working more on the gameplay itself instead of the voice is important but good job anyways.

Developer

As this was my first game, and i only had about 8 hours to complete it and i was learning gdscript as i went, i acknowledge that there are some bugs in the game. I appreciate the feedback.

It's okay. At least that the overall gameplay is completed. I just suggest dive more on the enjoyment and the gameplay on it. It is really interesting on the stickman art even they look very simple, but the effect is there. Not everybody got full time on the game jam activity. It gives us 7 days but first 2 days we spend time to ensure everybody is here and they went busy... so we actually only have 5 days, and don't time to finalize more on the art and the audio... It seems like we have 3, but most of the job is I made, more on the scripting, level polish and the playtest...

The voice acting was  incredible. The art style was goofy in the best way possible.  keep up the good work.

Developer

Aww, that's so kind! Thanks so much!!

Cool game and great job on the voice acting! But I wish there was less of a delay between admitting/quarantining someone and the next person walking up to you

Developer(+1)

I agree 100%. I didn't have time to polish it as I had only about 8 hours, but i wish i could have fixed that.

Good game. Liked the concept of the ‘Wheeze’ virus.

Submitted(+1)

Hahaha, I loved the voice acting! Great work, keep it up!

I love the voice acting! Very few games do that and it makes this one stand out! Great job!

clciking deny quarantine allow while no one is there makes the counter go up still.

Developer

Yeah there are still some little bugs but it’s just a game jam for fun, so it’s not too big of a deal. You’re only cheating yourself if you press the buttons repeatedly. Thanks for the feedback!

Great game, it could have been expanded on a bit more but still, Great work!

Developer

I will definitely expand it. Thank you!!

Cool idea, which could be developed further more. Good job so far, though I hope to see more features or mechanics implemented in the future :)

Developer(+1)

I didn’t have a lot of time to build it, only 8 or so hours so I built the core of the idea. I will definitely include more mechanics in the future. Thanks for playing!

Loved that it has voice acting :)

Submitted(+1)

I accepted 2 people that were definitely infected and I still won :)

Fun little game, I'd try to add a little bit more variation to the voice lines and graphics next time.

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, I like the idea!

Submitted(+1)

Really nice job on the voice acting, I like the hand drawn art style. A progress bar could be nice to let the player know where they are at. Great work though!

Submitted(+1)

Noice I liked the voices, it could be fun to have a chaos conspiracy group who are not infected try to ruin your research and need to be weeded out through what they say, some progression visualization would be neat also

Developer(+1)

You're SO right! That could be cool for later versions if i make them.
