Very fun! I like playing as a bat :) The narrator was a nice touch too. Good job!
It was really engaging to plan where I'd use the mandrakes and to build up the muscle memory to learn the maps, saving resources in the process. The dialogue of the narrator definitely added to the atmosphere of the game!
Feedback: In level 2, I fell into the pit of spikes, and maybe it was a glitch(?), but I ended up falling out of the map and being able to access under the platforms on the left side of the level. The volume of the music was sometimes a little too high, and the narrator a little too low, so it was hard to hear the lines. The mandrakes released would sometimes go too far up, not giving me any useful visibility; so there were a few rounds where I sat and learned the map, how far to move on certain platforms, and where to release the mandrakes.
All in all, a fun and engaging game that incorporates classic platform mechanics with a puzzle + memory aspect. Good job to everyone!
This is such a great idea!!! Using a bat’s echolocation to reveal the surroundings, while the information it gives you might not always be true, is such a creative take on the theme!
One small issue: I couldn’t play the web version because none of the buttons seemed to work for me. But after downloading the game, everything worked perfectly!
The art style looks great, and I really love the map design too!!!
I had real struggles to get it working. The UI and resolution is all over the place, even in the exe. My screen is mostly dark and I couldn't figure out where to go. I just stumbled around without achieving anything. That is unfortunately not the experience you guys probably wanted, so I can't give you a proper rating here. It seems like that due to the time constraints that some bugs are ruining the experience, at least for me.
The resolution is bad, but I have a question. If you downloaded the game, then you should also saw the game's description, right? If you have a bit of a free time would you be soo kind to check that out again? I do belive that would make things clean for you.
That is some great artwork my friend ! I like the overall concept of the game. Great work mate !
Overall Game looks good. Visual and art is nice.
Honestly, I didn't understand anything. The collision detection was a bit off. I played it, though. I just wish there had been subtitles.
I like the narrator is a whakjob lmao. Pretty fun gameplay. Great work.
Cool game! I liked the narrator aspect, definitely made it more unique
the artstyle reminds me a lot of Inside and Limbo, very atmospheric, definitely one of my favourites !
The narrator was such a cool idea and the game was not too long, not too short and very enjoyable. Nice entry :D
The narrator's voice and the game's dark atmosphere are fantastic. Great job!
the mandrake lantern eating two thirds of its charge on my first walk right while the light shader carved a circle out of the black is a tense way to open a platformer, every step felt paid for and narrator was awesome, good job!
It didn't work on Firefox but it worked on Chrome. Fun simple rage bait game.
Cool concept! My favorite part was the goofy narrator voice. Thanks for sharing it on the stream and making a fun game. :D
I played it on safari and It didn't work but then I played it on edge and oh it wad goooood
Very nice idea! I like it
Thanks!
You made me remember Thomas was alone, side scrolling games that are narrated tend to be super interesting.
The UI is a bit crude and the whole game is really buggy, switched navigators and still bugged on the second level.
The narrator was great though!
Overall, needs more work but you've got something interesting in your hands!

I liked what you did here. I think maybe the walkable platforms and the background blend together in the level 4, making it hard to see clearly, and the friction of the character is a bit annoying (i don't know if this is on purpose or not). Anyways, It was very fun to play and interesting. The artstyle got me! With upgrades on the HUD, this can be a very unique artsyle for your games. Congrats for the submission! Great concept!
This was such a fun entry! The lighting and shader effects around the light source give the environment a really moody, polished look, and the voice acting for the misleading narrator is peak.
Thank you , yeah our Voice actor did amazing work.
