Description
Systria is a Metroidvania ~ You play as an archeologist exploring ancient ruins. until you hear a crack in the ground and start falling into a giant cave below...
Welcome to Systria a forgotten Kingdom below the Roots of the Earth. Shut from the Sun and devoid of light.
With minor injuries you start exploring the old City Systria.

The Genre of the Game is a non combat focused Metroidvania, focused on Exploration puzzles and understanding the works of the city and finding out why it's citizen are nowhere to be found.

Here is also the Tracklist with a little bit about each Song:

1: Moss-Whispers 0:00 - 0:58

- Is the basic atmosphere of "Systria the Land Below" Is mainly consisting of only diffuse audio, with some Heartbeats in between. Also serves as a transitional piece stitching the world together.

2: Into the Hollow 0:58 - 3:25

- The start of a journey, a fall into the caverns of Systria serving as a new beginning, depicted by a downwards arpeggio. Moss Whispers is also layered below it.

3: Beating Organ 3:53 - 6:30

- The current main piece of composition. Our Hero here gets here after a Short Journey through the Underground having to face their first real hardships in this Cathedral (Bossfight-Time ^^ ), where the old gods that still slumber were worshipped. This is a recurring place in the Story and acts as a sort of anchor, while you may get here early you always come back to this cathedral

4: Sunless Garden 6:51 - 9:00

- An Area Song, Outside the Cathedral is a wonderful garden growing in the abscent of the sky, many dangerous creatures lurk here.
Due to the abscence of the former inhabitants the Garden is slowly being taken over by the moss and wildlife

5: Voices of Mist 9:03 - 11:14

- An Area Song, In the Roots of the trees, high up in the cave, are buildings they look like living quarters for the people below.
What did happen down here and why is it abandoned?

All the tracks have very great and immersive sounddesign! I especially liked the mysteriousness of "Sunless Garden" :)

It's really neat how each track transitions into the next in your youtube video, gotta appreciate the extra effort there! The consistent heartbeat rhythm really helps tie the tracks together there.

Think my favorite track here is "Voices of Mist",  the plucky rhythm combined with the voices create a really unique haunting atmosphere.. The bell (?) instruments you use in "Sunless Garden" are also super cool! (Sunless Garden is also just a very nice name, really piques the imagination)

Thaank you ^^ Yeah I really love using some bells and Glockenspiel to make it feels mystical ^^

Good job; it has charm. I get that it’s ambient and somewhat minimalist, it does a good job of creating an atmosphere.

    • "Into the Hollow" Sounds cool, loving the arpeggios, but I would have liked a bit more variety; it could feel monotonous listening to it on a loop for a long time (something that often happens with exploration themes).
    • "Beating Organ" I'm a simple person, there's organ, there's like.
        • It works great, and the melody is fantastic; personally, I would add timpani to bring in some rhythm and that battle/epic energy.

I'm pretty sure the moss whispered something to me...

Thaaank you, yeah I wanted to bring more movement and variety into my music, when I work at my DAW. I also thought about adding a timpani actually, but I also struggle soo much with doing proper drums. ^^

Love this submission; the sounds are mysterious and ambient-y, as they should be in an exploration-type game. The only thing that was missing for me is that the boss fight theme, Beating  Organ, wasn't fight-y enough for me; it lacks a bit of intensity and movement imo. Otherwise, an awesome soundtrack, great job!

Ahh Yeah I totally feel that, I totally suck with actually building enough progression and movement into my music^^, still learning on how to make it feel proper boss fighty, thats why it is mainly an ambient Soundtrack. But the Feedback is appreciated :3

Moss-Whispers: Love this ambience. Heartbeats are a nice touch. Love how this evolves.

Into the  Hollow: That arpeggio. This track makes me think of some Castlevania tracks.

Beating Organ: Love some good organ, the secondary dominant heavy progression is so nice to hear on organ.

Sunless Garden: I really love how we've consistently had the heartbeat throughout. Nice bells.

Voices of Mist: I really love that plucky sound. Cool atmosphere.

I really enjoyed the smooth transitions. Nice work!

Uhhhh Thank you for those kind words, got any Castlevania tracks in particular that remind you of?

I really loved the composition with the organ. It’s very energetic, and a bit goofy. Beautifull!
