Description
hello hello
tried to do all the 5 levels.
to capture the world and its theme i used windy/breathy instruments, clock tickings, anvil and steam maching sound effects.
the limits and specifications is really really helpful.
this is my best work yet. imo.
any feedback would be helpful. lemme know what you do and dont like.

The sonic space you set up is absolutely excellent, the music is very captivating. The beginning half before the drop was very intriguing and I am curious if you had any direct inspirations for the overall chordal shape. It reminded me of choral music in a strange way, which tends to be pretty religious in nature; not sure if that was an intention, but it's something that struck me while listening. It felt rather dramatic yet tragic, though I do mean that positively.
I would say the strongest piece of advice I could give is to think vertically, in terms of pitch and range. If you were to lay out every single note on a keyboard, it would be very dense and close together. Albeit you do have a good amount of bass which is nice, but there isn't a whole lot that touches the upper registers. Expanding those ranges I feel can give a lot more space in the instrument's timbres so they don't fight with one another (sonically). For example you have your violins repeat a motif a few times, but it could easily be an octave higher, or at least can change between them for dramatic effect.
Overall, this was a very nice listen and the development felt nice; it was cohesive and consistent which worked well to accomplish your ideals. I definitely hope to hear more of your works!
hi. didnt have much intention with the beginning. i just wanted to do something with the breathy instrument and make it kinda sad. and yes i do need to keep track of the ranges. i tend to mess up with viocings. i’m still kinda new and need to learn these so if you a source lemme know. thank you for the kind words.
Very tragical and epic track. Really immersive and with harmonic changes and beautiful melodic lines reminding me of Yann Tiersen's work. Great job!
nahh i cant be that good. but thank you man.
I love the strings at the beginning, it doesn't stop and keeps the tension, the atmosphere still until the energetic part. And that part is well transitioned with the strings sounding like waves, it increases in volume then decreases like it's move forward then backward and again. The drums are powerful, these are good. The ending is very satisfying with that ritardando, the drums getting louder and that tubular bell, I think ?
It might be weird what I'll say, but it reminds the credits music of season 3 episode 2 of the show "The Owl House" (a TV cartoon) and the ambiance reminds me of the "Desordre Song" from Kaamelott (a French TV show).
It was a nice music, loved the drums !
awesome. i’m glad you like the song. yeah the bell sound is actually a random anvil sound effect. which kinda sounds like a rusty pipe/bell being hit. if fits the theme so i just added it there.
i dont know about the cartoon or show you mentioned sorry. but thank you for commenting.
The lead-in from the beginning into the drum part (starting around 0:53) is absolutely epic and the end with that anvil hit turning into a bell sound gave me Andor season 1 vibes and related goosebumps. Overall, you have applied your sound effects very nicely, not drowning out the music but also constantly adding flavor to the track. Really cool.
My biggest hangup is the two different clock ticks - I think, that should have been one effect, maybe both of them layered together. And that is pretty much all I can come up with to criticize, your track is just that powerful.
thank you guy yeah now that i listen to it the ticking sounds could be better. i tried layering them both but i didnt like it. the transition between them is abrupt and has room for improvement. thanks for the feedback.
Hey, I've just listened to your track!
I really loved your music. It fits the end credits context perfectly, and I can definitely hear the steampunk influence.
I especially enjoyed the beginning, which is very well done, and the transition into the more energetic section is awesome. I also really liked the instrumentation and the sound effects. The only point I would mention is that the drums felt a little too loud in the mix at times.
Aside from that, this is a really solid submission.
Good luck with the rest of the voting period!
hi i’m glad you liked it yes i did notice the drums being loud after listening to it a bit after posting it. gotta be more careful when mixing next time.
thank you for the feedback.
This is epic!! First part is very moving and the second part's energy is perfect for the brief. I have no criticism, ending is very creative and cool as well.
ayeee appreciate it man
Good job on this track! Loved the big drums section and the decrease in tempo at the end.
thank you
