Easter egg get :3

Love the idea and execution. The character acceleration feels so good, all I want to do is run around an empty space to see how fast I can go - it really is amazing!

simple and funny! the platforms are a bit too slippery, but it has good drawings. like others, i was confused about the ghost mechanic; i didn’t recognize “lmb” as “left mouse button” at first. but also the self-referential humour is good

Really neat ghost mechanic! Loved the art and dialogue!

I liked the narrative and art. Has potential, overall good game, was tricky to figure out at first.

Freezing the ghosts and making them into platforms is very clever! I really enjoyed this game.

Great game, great concept! It has a lot of potential for further puzzles.
I'd just give some more polish and juice to the movement and jump mechanics, so they feel better.
I had a very similar ideia for my game, but it's a bit more action focused and envolve shooting instead of jumping.
You can try it here!

(This version is a polished one, finished after the deadline of the Jam).

Short but very fun, I especially enjoyed the self-referential humour. It took a while to figure out how to use ghost freezing mechanic but overall fun puzzles.

The art looks amazing and it seems pretty fun, but I don't get past the first gap. I either don't get how to utilize the ghosts or I just don't have the plattformer mechanics and am not skillfull enough for this game.

Use [RMB] and [LMB] to Freeze or Delete ghosts! The Professor says this after you die the first time :) A frozen ghost can be used as a platform

I liked it good!

Nice game enjoyed it

Great little game with some surprisingly nice narrative and player guiding which is quite rare to do in such a short time, great job! :)

Fun little game! Appreciated the narrative and the overall style from music to art was charming. Like the character design of the raptor too, thought I'd seen the style somewhere before xD Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I can only imagine where you'd have seen my art style before :3

Love the art and the concept! Super 90s box art feel from your logo and in game graphics.

I kept getting annoyed by the constant dialogue pop-ups and felt you could have explained a lot less, or make them not interrupt the flow of play. The checkpoint for example is pretty clear as to it's function.

Overall very neat entry!

Developer

I appreciate the feedback! I did worry the dialogue popped up a little too often, but I definitely wanted to showcase the writing as part of the experience and only had so much time to build real estate for it. So yeah some dialogue is really unnecessary in the long run, but for the small bite that I could offer I felt it was worth a little bit of interruption.

Submitted

Yeah, time is the enemy,  I feel that! Looking at my entry now there's so much I want to fix. You did a stellar job though.

This was super clever, and apparently I still need to go back and find Matthew. I’ll second what people have said about the high speed/low friction, and I did notice the time clones desyncing/not ending up in the same locations as their original, but I enjoyed it thoroughly! Razor sassing the Professor about the last puzzle was great.

Developer(+1)

Yeah the sync issue is due to how I'm recording your gameplay. I'm only reading your inputs rather than keeping track of your location or momentum at that moment. Which can lead to some inaccuracies, especially after hitting a checkpoint. But I think this method is pretty cheap memory wise and also allows for interesting interactions if the environment changes!

Submitted

Oh, that’s very clever! I imagine you could make it more reliable with time, for a four day jam it’s really impressive ^^

I like the dialogue for the checkpoint explanation, and the art is really cute. Getting a huge boost from jumping off my past selves is also a nice touch that I don't see in many games that take a similar idea - That said, I think Razor's slipperyness & high top speed can make the main mechanic feel a little frustrating? This feels like a character controller for a game about moving crazy fast, but it feels a little at odds with the precise jumps & hard turns needed to jump on other dinos, and the slow buildup to top speed can get a little aggravating when I have to repeatedly restart to fix mistakes. That said, I think everything else here has been done fine. With some adjustments to the character controller (or maybe the level design?) this mechanic could feel excellent.

Developer

I do agree that the movement is a little bit at odds with the puzzle elements. I think given more time I would focus a bit more in the momentum aspects rather than precision and add in more interesting interactions with the ghosts than just making them a platform.

This could be expanded into a full game.
My only problem is that sometimes the time clones desync.

Submitted(+1)

Really enjoyed this! The use of previous lives as puzzle elements is clever and adds so much depth. The characters are charming and the humor made it a lot of fun. I’d love to see more levels and maybe some extra momentum-based platforming in the future. Great job!

Really solid submission, really liked it and I would like to see more!
