Lovely little movement shooter that I could sink a significant amount of time into.
Very appreciative of the distinct level of polish throughout the entire game, especially
considering the inclusion of music.

The movement is the absolute highlight of the project here for me, it's very easy to get into
a rhythm and dodge around enemy projectiles which made dying feel less like a punishment
and more of an incentive to refine my positioning.

While missing a fair bit of sound, the music offers a superb compensation in its place. On the subject
of present sound, I would say that some balancing to bring the punch or volume of the weapons
into focus would polish them off nicely, both weapons are really fun to use.

Excellent work!

Thank you so much for the thorough feedback! Appreciate you checking out the project!

It was fun gave me ultra kill vibes. But games like this is too hard for me. Still had fun though!!

um it lackes some sfx and vfx and i was kinda lost :)

Thanks for the feedback! I've got some ideas cooking to make the game a little more enjoyable!
Appreciate you checking out the project!

I am not skilled enough for this game.

I had a blast.

That says something :3

My only complaint is the sfx needs a little work as a finishing touch but this game is definitely one I would actually buy with a full release.

Amazing work! :D

Developer

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I'm so honored that you would buy a full release ;-;
Thanks for checking out the project!!!

Needs more sound effects and maybe some more ways to get the annoying flying enemies off of you, but overall this captures the essence of your inspiration very well!

Developer

Oh yeah, some way to push back enemies or a melee attack would do numbers! I appreciate the feedback!
Thanks for checking out the project!

Add some crunchy sounds and VFX on kill and this becomes Ultrakill 2

Banger submission, my only real complaints being the slight lack of sound effects and some enemies getting stuck in corners of rooms and making me spend a bunch of time finding them, but I genuinely loved what I played of it, it was super fun, and the movement is hella good.

Developer(+1)

AHHHH! It makes me so happy that you would call this Ultrakill 2, that is the highest honor I could receive ;-;
I really appreciate the feedback on the audio and enemies. Audio, not my cup of tea, but I want to keep working away at it and get it to a place I'm more proud of! If you got any tips please send them my way, I loved the audio on your project! And the enemies, I'm thinking of making them visible through walls to reduce frustration.
Thank you for all the kind words, and thank you so much for checking out the project!

The game is pretty smooth, I also see you implement the procedural generation in the game which is really neat. I wish there was a shop state where you can upgrade the dmg as well as switching the weapons it would be more engaging.

Developer

Yeah! The procedural generation in the game is all custom for the game :3
Yesssss a shop would be wicked, I've got some methods of implementing progression cooking right now! Planning on rolling out some updates after the jam is over!
Really appreciate you checking out the project!!

I really really love the subtle detail of your FOV increasing when you go faster, but also the controls play really nicely!!!

Developer

AH! Thank you so much for checking out the project! :D

The game play reminds of some of the boomer shooters and I also enjoyed the visual style too! Along side that the gameloop is great!

Developer

Yay! I'm so glad! The project was heavily inspired by Ultrakill so I'm glad it feels similar to the genre! Thanks so much for checking the project out!

Had a fun time with the game! Movement felt fun and the enemies were fun the shoot. Very DOOM-esque. DMG indicator would be nice but i had a great time with the game!

Developer

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the project! Thanks again for checking it out :3

The game is really fun! Liked the gameplay and the art, but it need to give more feedback to the player, like for example a sound effect when you take damage, the screen turning a little bit red. And also some progression like buying upgrades or smth like that would be good. The game is really fun though, enjoyed it!

Developer(+1)

I totally agree! There is a small hit indicator right now but its very undercooked, I will have to look into improving that so it feels better to play! And yesss, progression would add so much to the game! I'm hoping to add some sort of roguelike elements to the game once the jam is over!

Developer(+1)

AHHH AND!!! Thank you for checking out the project :3

Just played your game and the movement + core loop feel really satisfying, it’s honestly super addictive

Breaking boxes and chaining runs feels great, and the overall polish is impressive for a jam. I did feel like it could use a bit more progression or variety over time, but what’s there is already really solid

Definitely one of those games I could see turning into a full release

I’m also in the jam, so if you get a chance to try my game I’d love to hear your thoughts

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot and I'm glad you enjoyed the experience!!! And yesss, progression would do numbers on the gameplay loop, I have some ideas of how to incorporate it.
I would love to check out your game! I just added it to my list and will get to it as soon as possible!!
Thanks again for trying out the project! :3

Very fun game with extremely fun movement and main mechanics, it lacks some variety since you never really change your moveset or your attacks but still really fun. I thought the items from the box would have some sort of use but sadly they don't. The audio isn't amazing and there's not that great of an indicator when you take damage. The art is very well done and really good. Great game overall, good job!

Developer

AHH! Thanks for the amazing feedback, I'll look into improving on the aspects that the game is lacking on after the jam is over!! Thank you so much for checking the project out!

This is a lot of game for one month, I am very impressed.
Could do with better music.
Upgrades with your cash would be sick!

Developer(+1)

Oh yeah, the music was a enormous task for me. I should've commissioned someone or brought someone on to do the music, but my own hubris said I could handle it on my own. I could not LMAOOO
Upgrades would be CRAZY!!! I will for sure look into doing that with future updates!!! Thank you for the feedback and checking the game out :D

Submitted(+1)

I may be open to doing music, just dm on discord- Deathiplyx is the username.

Submitted(+1)

very nice, it reminded me a lot of "compound" I would like to see this as a complete and polished game ^^

Developer(+1)

Oh I've never heard of Compound! I'll have to check it out!
I'm hoping to get more work done on it once the jam is over! Stay tuned :3
Thank you for checking out the projec

Pretty difficult game, I imagine that those that are not gamers like myself wont have a great time with this. Theres no much progression, no life regen also, the camera thing when you jump is a bit desorienting. I beat the entire first floor and didnt have anywhere to go so I walked in circles for like 5 minutes trying to find where to go and gave up. But I think the biggest issue with this game is that sound is non-existent.
Really cool project overall with a lot of polish, amazing visuals even on the menu. Would be cool if you could find some crazy collectables in the boxes for each level.

Developer

WOAH! Thank you so much for the thorough feedback! I'm hoping to continue updating the game after this so I'll take this into consideration moving forward! (I have already gotten A LOT of feedback that the little flying guys are too hard LMAOO)
To clear up where to go, each floor is randomly generated with elevators at each end. I wanted to add indicators along the floor to keep players oriented properly but ran out of time. (You also heal at the end of floors)
Once again thank you so much for checking out the project!

I like this one a lot. Out of all of the submissions so far, this is the one I’d be most likely to buy an expanded version of. By all means, if you even feel a little bit like turning this one into a full game, do it.

Developer

Aww thank you so much! I'm excited about the possibilities that it could hold! Thank you so much for checking it out!!

Submitted(+1)

Wow. This is so cool. Amazing job. The flying enemies are a little too fast, I would either slow them down or make them a one shot. But man I am super impressed with what you got done in a month

Developer

Updoot for real. Those guys are a menace and need to be nerfed into the ground ;-;
Thank you so much for checking the project out!
