This was unique from what I have played in the past. Really like the concept and art
Holy crap I was clicking and exiting so fast once I got it lol
The idea is great and the old desktop interface you made looks so nice! Especially that CRT filter. Like others have said, just needs a difficulty curve. If this was expanded I think it would be awesome for your boss to bash in if you pick something bad for particularly important emails. Would make it even more stressful ;D
I like that you have to have to maneuver in 3D to grab the coffee and then back to 2D. Definitely would be hard for someone newer to games but for me it was really engaging. Good stuff!
Oh wow, this was so stressful haha :D
I think the idea is fun, but maybe start at slower pace? I couldn't even afford to read most of email and ended up clicking random buttons :D
I agree with others that is a chaotic but fun experience haha. I like the fact that per email you have two ways of answering it, adding a layer of quick decision-making to an otherwise frantic game. I think one thing that can make the game better is if the difficulty at the start was toned down a bit in order to let players ease into the basic gameplay loop of the game, since at least for me that is what made the game a bit confusing at first. But overall, this was a fun game and it really kept me on my toes!
I have become glue! The music had me stressing lol, trying to manage everything kept me busy like a real job! Jokes aside it was fun, nice job.
Omg the chaos! haha
You nailed my everyday life at work but I had way more fun playing this game, so I call that a win! Nice job :)
*yawn* Okay, let's get to it. Ah, I got one email, replying to it shouldn't be that ha-
Shit, another one... and another one?! Another... guys, stop?! What's that, I have a virus?! Why am I getting spammed?! Where's my coffee?! WHY IS IT ON THE FLOOR?!?!?!? Gaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh, someone save me from this hell!
Really nice entry, I enjoyed it despite the chaos and high amount of multitasking it required. Sound design and graphics are definitely the cherry on top here.
Keep up the good work!
Dude, I suck at answer emails. This was really hard, but a super fun idea. I wish the pacing was just a liiiiittle bit slower. Also, I bought coffee but it didn't seem to be drinkable. I kind of wish you could just spend the money right at the coffee machine.
Fun idea!
I struggled, yet had fun. the tension of juggling everything at once. it all comes together nicely. great work.
Thank you! It was supposed to feel like a bit of toil, glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting idea for a game, but:
Thanks for the detailed feedback! Responding to each bullet
Thanks again for the detailed feedback, and thank you for playing!
Nice game, had some problems while playing (weird audio and freeze when starting) but I liked it.
Thanks for playing! Out of curiosity what was the audio bug, and which browser were you using?
good, I like how you use the theme
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Really cool game, I really liked your interpretation of the theme! It took a while for me to figure out I could buy coffee, and even longer to figure out where the coffee was. I think this is an amazing game, forcing you to make decisions in a short period of time, forcing you to go away from the computer to restore energy, spending money in return for energy, etc. I really enjoyed this game!
Thank you! Yeah I had a hard time making it clear where the coffee was coming from. You get an email, but I think it gets buried. Appreciate you taking the time to play!
Haha, really fun idea! I came to play jams to escape emails, but this was somehow worse :D Great job! I was really bad at this game tbh
You can never escape the emails!
I kept running out of energy answering all those emails, just like irl!
Very creative take on a clicker game, I really like retro computers so the aesthetics of this game are right up my alley! The dialogue on the emails and pop ups are quite enjoyable as well! The game provides a good challenge, although I did think the movement speed was a bit too fast for my liking.
Really good work, Well Done : )
Thank you! Also a retro computer fan. Making this took me back to my first computer running windows 98.
Very well done on the interpretation of the theme of the jam! I felt you nailed it with the mechanics you implemented. Everything you do adds some kind of tension to the game that allows the player to multitask with the emails coming in faster and faster. I felt like I was jumping between logging off a lot and dragging windows away from my main task. Spamming the highest amount of money gain for the coffees I had collected on the floor , allowed me to continue some runs for a good while. Great fun to be had with this game! Kudos to you! Looking forward to any updates.
Thank you! Glad you had fun!
Intresting take one the theme !
I found a balance where I spammed the left choice of emails, then spammed that coffee delivery to crank up my cafeine rate to be ready for a new batch of mails x3
I don't know if it is intentional, but I tried to ignore the popups as a good computer user should do, and my game was lagging and I couldn't use emails so I failed xD
Nice one ! Congrats !
Not my intention, but glad you found a winning strategy. I didn't really get to do much balancing, so there are definitely ways to cheese through it. Curious what your top score was!
I struggled a bit with getting coffee, but I just love this kind of OS games.
Yeah, I think a lot of people find the coffee hard to find. Taking a note for future updates! Thanks for playing!
Well executed! The constant beeping definitely builds tension. Nice music as well and I love the graphics!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!
