oh yay itch is finally letting me post comments again lol. very cool game!! the idea of playing as a spool of thread is super interesting, and the atmosphere is really neat. according to my notes I managed to be kind of bad at this game, but I think that was completely on me because it made more sense when I came back to it. good work!

Developer

Thank you very much for your review and playing our game! If you don't mind, could you please tell me exactly where you experienced difficulties in the game? I'd really appreciate your feedback, as it would help me identify the problem and improve the game in the future.

thanks for the reply! i really respect you taking feedback seriously. all I had written was that i got stuck, I wasn't able to comment right away at the time so I don't remember where :( if I have time after the jam I'll try to come back and check again! sorry I couldn't provide more useful feedback.

Looks great, very cool idea. Was confused for a bit but figured out you need to put a die on the pressure plate. Softlocked myself by getting stuck in a corner in the room with the mannequins.

Developer(+1)

Yes, some of the collision settings are incorrect in certain areas. Unfortunately, that's entirely my mistake, and I sincerely apologize if my inexperience negatively affected your experience with the game. Thank you very much for your review and playing our game! We truly appreciate your feedback.

Would love to see this turn into a full fledged game! Also, the ominous ambiance is such a great touch. A job very well done, congrats!

Developer

Thanks a lot <3

Very nice and unique game. The only thing I was missing is a feedback, when something was untangeling or so, just realising, when you loose or hook an object. sfx, short color change whatever.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for you review and playing our game, we are very happy to hear such words! To be honest, our sfx designer created all the impact sounds for attaching objects, and one of our tasks was to add the vfx for the impact, but we didn't have enough time to add them all, sorry about that...

Great looking game with a great premise, I only wish there was more to play!

Developer

Thank you very much for your review and playing our game!!

Developer

We are very glad to hear such words, thank you very much!

now it will be a part of something bigger. a sweater. they will wear it for 4.7 years and will never notice the pain i went through when the cold metal of scissors touched my red thin vein. it will tickle their skin silently, defending them from the winter's cold eyes. but after it tears on a rusty nail sticking out of the wall, they will throw all of us, the threads, to be eaten by dumpster rats

you're insane, in a good way

Developer(+1)

Impressive epilogue, im really amazed. Thank you so much for review and playing our game!

I'm thankful for the brightness settings, i've commented on so many games that they need one. Although the max brightness is still too dark for me lol. To the point that i cannot really see where to go, and i don't really want to fiddle with my monitor's settings, so i'm not gonna rate this game like this. Maybe I will come back later tho

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! We'll definitely revisit the brightness settings after the jam. If you give it another shot later, we'd really appreciate it!

Very nice atmosphere and unique mechanic. The lighting and graphics cool. I only had to use the thread once, felt like it could've been utilized a bit more :)

Well done :D

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much for your review and playing our game! Maybe it will be more tasks/mechanics that will allow you to use threads more functionally in the future. There are a lot of ideas in this regard, but so far, unfortunately, the implementation has turned out like this

Submitted

Really cool! I like the art direction and the way the thread on the ground is guiding the player.
Only thing is, I thought the room before the final room, had the final trigger or something so I just walked past and couldn't go back after.

Developer

Yes, there is a script for the final room that makes the door close when the player enters the room. I hope it didn’t bother you too much. Thank you for playing our game!

The idea feels unique and looks good visually

Developer

Thank you for such kind words and playing our game!

really cool mechanic and amazing ambiance, it reminds me of “how fish is made”. well done !

Developer (1 edit)

Damn, it really looks like it! Thank you so much for playing our game!

Submitted(+1)

Visually it looks great, though I think it could have taken more advantage of the interaction between the thread and the game. It’s really good, and it’s a very polished piece of work. Great job!

Developer

You are absolutely right. We would have loved to include more interactions with the thread in this project, but unfortunately, there simply wasn’t enough time to implement everything we wanted to. Maybe it’s something we’ll be able to explore in the future. In any case, thank you for your feedback and for playing our game!

i love the whole dark vibe and lil thread people world, very unique

Developer

Thanks a lot <3

The graphics and the atmosphere is amazing! i got stuck in some area but i will try it again later

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! If you are talking about the locked door - you need to place the cube (dice) on the pressure plate. Tell us if you still have problems

Submitted(+1)

I can't imagine how anyone could come with this idea, awesome! 5/5

Developer

Thank you very much for you review and playing our game!

Very unique idea for the theme, wow. Super awesome and ambitious project to complete in just a week! Great job

Developer

Thanks for your review!

I loved the dialogue with the characters, the art, and the sound design! I haven't seen many other games as ambitious as this one for the jam, so congrats on an awesome submission!

Developer

Thank you very much for you review and playing our game, it means a lot for us!

I snuck two dice into the ending door lol. After that I figured I could do the same to the mannequin from the lamp and took him to the end too. It seems that he can't trigger the pressure plate for the door like dice, so we can't bring all 3 dice to the end, unless there's more objects that can open the door.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing our game! Yes, sadly, the project has some bugs in certain places, and currently only the dice can activate the pressure plate. However, you can still bring all the dice to the end by taking another route. It is located behind the lamp when the lamp is disabled. This way, you don't need to activate the pressure plate and can proceed to the next room with all your dice!

Wow what a cool spin this was. I don't understand how people manage to do this within the time limit. Really cool and super well executed. Physics were a little jank, but I feel like that's to be expected given the time limit. Great art. Curious if you did the world 3D modeling, or if that was an asset pack? Regardless, it was super well put together. Great job!

Developer

Thank you very much for playing our game! All 3D assets, level design, arts are done by our hands during the jam. (we didnt sleep for 45+ hours straight before deadline :D). Also, i've played your game before and i enjoyed it too, it looks like very fun, and enjoyable, i liked it. Thank you for your review!!

Developer

not a single ready-made asset was used :) each model was made specifically for the project.
