the sheer number of developers is crazy for a jam. good marketing technique though. game was pretty nice. the maze part was a bit disorienting, but i suppose that was the purpose lmao.

Very strong visual style and animation! I loved the theme of the game and how it related to spinning. I wished there was more related to spinning gameplay wise. The maze parts didn't have enough substance to warrant them being so big in my opinion maybe have the map spin every 10-15 seconds, add some variety to it. Maybe some spinning wheel maze where the maze is actually a spinning wheel or something similar. Very strong art and direction just would love to see more gameplay wise. Still had a fun time playing the game, it seems like you all put a lot of effort into making this game. Seriously congrats on the release! Would love to see more in the future! <3

I really love the whole vibe of the game, the gorgeous art style, the shaders, the sound effects! But i think it would be cooler if it has more minigames, that would be absolute dope! Great job, guys! Had a lot of fun playing it!

Glad you liked the game and Thank you for the feedback

loved the world that was built here, a game show is a very fun and apt way of allowing a dev team as a large as this to operate and create a variety of different looking and feeling sections while still making sense in world, and i think it works pretty well here! the presentation is super lovely with the variety of different styles of the pixel art, the visual effects, and the sound effects at play, it makes each section feel refreshing to go through! however, i do share the same sentiments as some of the other comments in where i think the gameplay didn't click as hard as i hoped it would. two of the four minigames were mazes, and the first one was really large and hard to navigate through (not sure if i got lucky with the second maze). i do think however that this game does have legs to stand on to be extremely good with the amount of creatives on the project taking ownership of different types of minigames, really leaning in on the mixed media angle and allowing for different creatives to shine through under one vision/interpretation! this is generally what im concerned about with really large teams working on short jam deadlines since you are only really limited to making certain types of games since its hard to work on project that rapidly adds onto core systems, so it has to be segmented and minigame-like, but even despite what i said here, the game is still really cohesive with the idea and world that its trying to sell and i think that is super impressive and hard to pull off with a team like this which i really respect a lot (i hope my sentimenet comes off the right way and doesn't read as meanspirited 🙇). this was a cool game to go through and had fun going through it all, congrats on the submission!

Im.. gonna be honest the visuals and art is amazing i also loved the music  the game really is good but for a game created by 100 ppl it doesnt meet up to its expectations (btw im not critisizing pls dont take it the wrong way)

but its still a fun game

Our games have very similar qualities!

To be honest, the only reason I decided to play the game was because of the fact it was made by ~100 people. In that sense, I’m kinda surprised of how short the game was. Although, maybe every time I replay it, the game will be completely different and that’s where the 100 people come in.

Either way, kind of crazy to see what my game would look like if 100 people worked on it instead of just me.

Thank You for your feedback and playing the game.

ohhh I'm so mixed on this one. on one hand the art is genuinely amazing (though it can be mismatched in places) and the music is some of the best I heard all jam! and the sound effects were also well done :) although the vignette effect did make it hard to see at times. gameplay wise on the other hand, it was simply lacking. the first two mini games were both mazes where you just had to walk (first maze took me so long on my first playthrough, though I didn't mind it much cause the music was keeping me entertained lol) and the last one was a simple top down shooter. I think these would've been fine as part of a bigger pool of mini games, but it was the same ones in the same order when I replayed it to see other ones, I would've loved to see more variety. I also tried to fail the quiz in the end on purpose, but after failing it just showed my character standing on stage for a second before it put me back into the quiz where I couldn't fail this time even if my health was 0, and I'm not sure if that was a bug or intentional haha

overall the experience was nice and I'm glad I played it, but I do think it had the potential to be more, you know? a lot of talented people worked hard on this, that's very clear to see, and I hope to see more from ya'll

Thank you for your feedback, and yep that is a Bug that you caught :-), we do have plans to take the game further so do stay tuned

I'll skip piling onto the art and audio praise, you've clearly earned a hundred of those already, and leave something hopefully more useful.

The thing I kept circling back to is the wheel. I expected it to be this unpredictable, do-or-die thing, but it always runs you through the same three challenges in the same order, so it ends up feeling more like a menu than a gamble. The premise is a deal with the devil, yet a predictable wheel makes him feel oddly fair and safe, when he should feel rigged and capricious...

Two smaller notes. The first maze is so large that I braced for every challenge being a long navigation slog, so I went into the second one anxious rather than curious. And in the boss finale, the boss looked so much like my own character that I genuinely couldn't tell if I was damaging it or myself for the first few rounds. A clearer visual contrast, or a hit indicator on the boss, would erase that doubt instantly.

Genuinely impressive that 80+ people shipped something this cohesive. The individual craft is peak, it's the connective design between the pieces that I'd most love to see tightened in a post-jam cut.

Good luck with the rest of voting!

Loved the comments and feedback. We will work on these as we build the game further

I can't think of anything new to say that has not been said yet!

First of all, the game strengths are clear. Visuals and sounds are really really peak. Not just good but outstanding. Everything about it! Sound effects, music, animation, pixel art, UI, coherence (though some things did mismatch like the notes themselves.)

The gameplay, well, I had a similar experience. It was not a great experience to play in itself, though I was determined to finish it because the game as an overall experience is cool enough! To give a new perspective, I don't think the problem is in it being simple; I think the main problem is that it generates A LOT of friction to the player. In my case, I really wanted to play and just see what would happen, and the game was not only discouraging, but I felt actively pushed away; that was IMO a design flaw, not a technical one. The first maze was really hostile for the player and discouraging, and to open up the second act with another maze felt a bit overwhelming. The zombie minigame was not particularly memorable BUT it was way better as it was complemented with a non-frictional gameplay that let you focus on the art and music. (While I was playing, a zombie got bugged in the spawn. I noticed that after a while it despawned, I appreciated that, it was a nice touch.)

I liked the last game too, it felt high stakes and it made me sweat over having to think under pressure during the "riddles."

Great experience, you guys did an amazing job. Though some might be biased in thinking so many devs could have made a perfect game, I suspect it is quite the opposite, and while surely a funny experiment, I can imagine the pure chaos!

Developer

Thanks for pushing through to see it all :D

Glad that you had a good experience overall!

This game is one of the most popular games this jam, and rightfully so. The art is amazing and don't get me started on the music! I did think that it would be longer because the dev team was so big, but I guess that in itself brings challenges as well. Good job everyone :)

Thank you so much!

Theres so much aesthetics and art but on closer inspection feels a little hollow. The art is amazing so big props to them, but I would've liked to see more pixel perfect art I hate mixels with a passion. The gameplay is kind've lacking as you just wonder around mazes then fight some enemies with purple objects. It needs juice and something else that I can't put my finger on. I'm only this harsh because with so many people working on a game I expected a little more polish. Nice Job tho :D

Thanks for the feedback !

Liked the aesthetics. Sadly the gameplay feels really slow, the mazes and waves of zombies just didn't spark joy.

Hey, Good game. The first maze took forever, I thought it was broken so restarted the game. On the second turn in the maze, I saw the contract on the other side of the wall, so I knew it existed. The commentary text before spinning the wheel shouldn't continue until the user presses space. I press space to get the full sentence and read it, but it jumps to the next sentence too quickly. But overall, good game.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, glad you liked it. We will work to modify the game

I clicked in this game for the astonish number of members (and the art cover), congrats on finishing the project (specially since it was delivered 2 days before the deadline), its really hard to accomplish something solid with a team that big

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. Glad you liked the game

The art is nice.
Ran around the maze for what felt like forever, but I just got lost.
Might be worth posting the solution to the maze for people who don't have time.
There are so many Jam games to play. Sorry :)

Shame, it looked like this one was gonna be a good one.

Developer

Look to your right, upwards and onwards you will be able to get the contract

Reloaded and spun a few times but I guess the maze is mandatory? I couldn't bring myself to suffer through it. What I did see seemed pretty nice and polished.

Developer(+2)

Thank you for the feedback, sorry to have you suffer, if you do want to give it another try, in the maze look to your right and follow the lead. We are working to make the mini games come up randomly along with some upgrades to the games
