Eye candy
Really nice visuals, hollow knight vibes.
Really good game ! I'll came back after the jam to replay it ! :D
Holy moly, if there'd be more content (like new cave types, new upgrades, items etc) they I'd definitely buy this on Steam, since I love incremental games like this one DDDD:
The only smaaall nitpick I have is the inconsistency in pixel sizes for the background art on the surface.
But other than that? Amazing work!!!
Thank you so much for playing it on stream!!
Very good first impressions with the game. Other than the mining area it felt very polished, the music and sound effects are perfect. The mining area could use some polishing, and probably an indicator of where the nearest ore is. I couldn't figure out, how to use the consumables, might be bugged idk. Shop need some debugging
Overall it's a great game, you utilized very well, that first impressions matter the most.
You buy the teleportation orb for 1x Crystal. Then you can use it with T
Well i bought the 2 consumables but they didn't show up in the slots. I might have played on a preupdate version? Bc i've seen, that 2 shop related problems were resolved
I really liked the progression, felt very incremental which I like! I wish I could have explored the areas to the left and right or had a bit more lore, but for 7 days this was very polished.
Very beautiful and polished game...love the art style. The mining felt seriously satisfying, sound effects and visual effects included. The mining environment felt empty though, maybe some prop elements other than the resources can be added. Also if the character is always in spinning motion that'll be really cool, and opens up a lot of room for adding juice in movement animations (instead of the battery, it can be durability which only goes down when it is mining).
Overall, it's a really awesome submission.
This was such a neat game!! The visuals were beautiful, and the sound design was quite nice as well.
I agree with some of the other comments that the mine itself could maybe be improved a bit - I didn't mind mining the resources themselves, the sound effects and visual polish made them fairly satisfying to mine, but I did spend a lot of time just kind of wandering around mining for resources. Being able to freely reset the resources was beneficial here, but I do think that maybe having more resources closer together could be nice to cut out some of that 'wandering around on a blank screen' feeling. Maybe also adding in some various visual elements to break up some of the background, like random rocks or making the ground get darker as you go downwards? I'm not sure. I also think that having a stronger gradient of easier materials towards the top and more valuable ones towards the bottom might have made the progression feel more meaningful. Regardless though, I thought this game was super polished for a jam game! The progression felt good, I found the game a lot more engaging once I figured out the teleport item existed, and I liked the sound a lot. Great work!
Thanks! All that was on the list, but - 7 days xD
Super gorgeous game. Those mountains in the background are amazing!
I think the gameplay needed something to spice it up though, it got a little repetitive. I thought this would be like an incremental game where towards the ends you'll be breaking hundreds of ores a second, but it stayed more slow and introspective. Which is fine, just not my cup of tea, y'know?
Overall though, a very nicely polished game with a fun idea and beautiful art. Well done.
Really well made! The progression is satisfying, the atmosphere and music are great, and the art is wonderful. I love the design of the robot. Super cute!
I liked it, however I feel that the presentation is stronger than the gameplay itself. The actual mining is not up to par and feels a bit shallow.
How is the mining not up to par? Do you have any ideas on how we could've designed it to be more fun? :)
I don't have any specific ideas - all I can tell you that once I descended into the mine it felt like an empty area. After some time I felt like I spent more time searching for resources rather than mining them - maybe that was your design but I just didn't like that. The mining itself also felt shallow - it was essentialy just 'press X to mine'. Maybe it gets better later on thanks to upgrades, but after the first few I just wasn't hooked enough :/
Now, I think that it's not my place as a player to tell you HOW to fix this, I can just tell you my feelings and what was going on in my head. I hope that maybe some of my comments will let you improve on the game - or make it appeal to a broader audience.
Nice pixel art and solid gameplay. I particularly enjoyed drilling for the resources.
Very cute submission! would have loved if the mechanic to spin was something else then the press of a button. But the world, art and sound were amazing, great work!
Great art and sound effects, really enjoyed the upgrades. Great entry <3
I really enjoyed this game! I understood the game loop very quickly and managed to beat the game with only upgrades and 45 ore found, which I hope is good! I really liked the visuals, and the sound effects and music. I never found the feather thing needed to buy the ore regeneration powerup, but I didn't need it. Great game!
I love the artstyle of this game everything is so pretty. The sound design is also very nice. Like other people have said, a speed upgrade would be great. I never found myself buying the teleportation orb because I didn't need it for anything and it seemed that using that money for upgrades instead would benefit me more. The way the core flashes could cause problems for photosensitive people, you might want to add a warning in the game's description. The robot guy you play as is so sill- ahem I mean serious and I love them so much.
Thanks for the great feedback, it really means a lot! Totally agree on the speed upgrade. There is a flashing images warning in the comments because I don't think we're allowed to click on "Edit Game" after the bug fixing phase, right?
you’re allowed to edit the itch page whenever you want, just not the actual game files
Amazing art style. The outside environment really set the scene for me personally, sort of like a desolate and lonely (but beautiful) plain which adds a lot to the mysterious setting. Very satisfying audio and visual feedback that made mining enjoyable. The robot is super cute!!!

I really liked the opening cutscene, but I was hoping that there would be more throughout the game. Overall great game!
Thank you for the kind feedback! Happy you got it
It's cool, like the design of the rabbit but wish they used the drill in other ways besides just mining, but the game loop was still enjoyable, number go up! 8/10.
Thanks for the feedback! Cool idea, what else do you think the drill could be used for?
I have a couple ideas, but they kinda don't fit/would change the core game. you could use it for movement where you drill into the ground and then pop back out and it would launch you, you could make it a way to attack enemies, or you could change how the ores work so that they're hidden and you have to dig them out by going into the ground or something. I think was just a little disappointed because I was hoping for one of these games to have a drill, and then this one didn't do a whole lot with it. I still really like the design of the rabbit, I think it's pretty cool and the game that's there is addicting so it's not like the game sucks or anything. EDIT: there was also times where I had to retrace my steps to get all the ores, so the drill could also maybe leave a trail in the dirt to let you know where you've been.
This is a really cool game! I love how mining ores feel. The particles and screen shake make it feel really juicy. The game is a little short but that is perfect for a game jam. The art also looks outstanding and the upgrades were nice. I would like a speed upgrade or something similar though. You did an amazing job creating this!
Happy you enjoyed! Totally agree on the speed upgrade!
Very nice game! Polished and easy to understand. I finished the game by drilling the core, but i accidentally deleted the screenshot :C
Good job! Glad you had fun :)
