NOOO MY DREAMS have been crushed,
great game the hot mermaid really made me play till the very end finishing the game
it was a really good objective, the upgrades also give it good replay ability for a while since its very much impossible to finish without

It started off slow but once I got those upgrades, it became SO satisfying. I love the art style too. I'LL FIND YOU MERMAID MY BELOVED.

I love the artstyle!!!

Clicked because of an anime mermaid

Hilarious idea and all around solid artwork! I'll admit the game was real confusing though as I couldn't figure out how to get more oxygen and I didn't see anything in the description about how to do it, so I never made it past 10 seconds or so.

Lovely art style, the UI it's also great! i enjoy it, but i agree with some comments it's a little hard at the beginning with the controls beside that it's a solid game

Neuron activated type of cover art

The cover art is hilarious haha. I really like holding your breath underwater as a countdown mechanic. The swimming was a bit hard to get used to, especially since it was hard to tell if I was moving or not at times, but I managed to beat it with maxed-out bubble fish :)

I really enjoyed the visual atmosphere of your game, as well as the perfectly balanced music and sound effects. The only thing is that the sound was a bit loud (I had to manually adjust the browser’s volume settings whilst playing to ensure I could carry on), but if you could just improve the tutorial a bit, that would be great. After a few attempts, I managed to figure out how to complete the game. All in all, well done!

the art is incredible and looks amazing. and the sound design works perfectly with the art. however i found it very hard to control the character.

The art is really good, the audio was good but super loud oof. Other than that I found the movement to be really frustrating but I did stick with it to reach the end. Good job!

I agree with the others, the art is crazy good, likely the best I've seen so far in the jam.

Even though the gameplay felt pretty random at first, I quickly found the upgrades and strategies that you needed to reach the surface, I basically only used the left upgrade section and was able to win in like 6 rounds. I had a great time with  the game!

MC heard "sleeping with the fishes" and said "BET"

The game is really fun but the rotation can be frustrating. Also a tutorial would be nice.

The countdown being oxygen is quite creative. The audio was really good, but super buggy for me at the beginning

The UI and art style are incredibly good although the gameplay feels a bit too random due to the lack of player control.

The oxygen mechanic seemed only purposeful in the late game as there is (as far as I can tell) no incentive to stay around longer except to get to the mermaid (could be remedied by needing to return to submarine to collect fish).

Early game bubble fish are really neat since they seem to spawn behind the player and the tank controls make getting the extra oxygen a significant time investment which is a neat form of player expressions.

Would be nice if the background had parallax because it's a bit hard to tell if/where I'm moving.

Ending was a bit of a bummer but also quite funny.

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

The game's art style is something that caught my attention. I have to admit it was pretty hard at the start because I didn't understand how to achieve the objective of the game, although I learned that I had to swim up and could upgrade too.  Very fun concept; the movement was a bit wonky, but that's how it is when we swim in water, am I right! Loved the game overall, you did a fantastic job! (Loved the countdown theme implementation too)

Came for the lady and art, stayed for hanging out in the ocean with cool fish. The vibe was great, but I wished movement was a little better, and to be frank the game was a little longer so I could enjoy my upgrades more, and maybe do more things with the pufferfish..

she won't come :(
nice art although not very consistent at places.
I like short and fast progression game you made, but balance can be improved and main point to improve is movement/game feel while you swim

Submitted

Pretty nice game and artwork but the movement is a little off in my opinion

Very beautiful! I really wanted the buttons in the skill tree to have more impact and feedback when clicked :)
