I do like the idea having time, life and money as a shared resource! I didn't quite understand how abilities worked to be honest (only played thief), and I found it a little weird that enemies still hit you on the turn you killed them. At least for my most successful run, my best strategy seemed to be to just ignore the enemies altogether. With some more balancing, I could see myself enjoying this quite a bit, though!
I'm a simple man, I see a dungeon game, I click on a dungeon game.
Fun turn based game, I like how time is actually your health.
wow you had time to add so many things!! great game, one of the best i tried so far
I kept dying :c
Found the difficulty early to be pretty difficult, though I thought the ideas were awesome and enjoyed playing quite a lot :D
Mostly got annoyed with having to speak to the old man each death though, which made it really annoying to die :P
Awesome game :3
This was fun! Using time as (essentially) the only resource in the game makes for an interesting resource management game.
I wish the enemies' attacks were visible so it's easier to tell when you're taking damage. Oh, and I think I may have found a bug on the results screen because it said I killed 0 enemies during my run.
Nice submission!
Very cool! It reminded me of VITA from the LowRezJam (https://doctor-succubus.itch.io/vita) You should totally check it out. I love the dual purpose design in your games.
Yo cool! Really nice that you had time to add multiple characters! ^^
So cool! Each of the three classes felt really different to play. Wizard was my fave, especially after unlocking "increased width"--loved just fireblasting every room instantly. My one quibble is that I wished it were clearer when I was getting hit by the enemies (I'd look at the hourglass and it'd be way lower, but never until after I'd already killed the baddie). Really fun game, though!
I enjoyed the concept. It really makes one trying to play tactically and has like a managing aspect to it. Some misfortunes I had was that the big strong enemy spawned at the start and when I tried to skip the dialogue I accidentally bought something too expensive inside the shop and died. Nonetheless I liked the game as well as the music!
Ohwow! Really enjoyed your game :D It was fun figuring out how to save as much time, didnt get very far tho hahaha but it was a great time :}
I really like the game, having to manage the steps you take is really interesting. The characters are nice, also with nice artworks and I like how you get introduced to the game by some characters in the game. I also find it interesting that you have to manage your countdown to count down the floors.
For me the only issue is that since you don't know where to go to travel down the floors, you end up "wasting" a lot of steps and since the levels are always different you can't "master" the best route. I think that maybe adding an undo option (even for just a couple of steps) could be really helpful.
Love Godot as an engine, we always use it also for our games!
This submission felt very strong mechanically, with each action feeling impactful due to the multiple sinks that the game provides for the hourglasses. I think the decision to make the hourglasses the currency for shop purchases was also a great idea, as it adds a risk and reward element to the game. I think the main improvements I would make would be around the game art in particular, as the lack of animation felt very jarring for more. Other than that, great submission!
A cute game with a cool concept. I liked how the shop costed time so it incentivised you to actually hunt down all the hourglasses efficiently. I felt sometimes the generation was a little unfair, like how some of the floors had the rooms with a lot of hourglasses far from the starting room, meaning you just gained less time on those floors just by how they were generated. Overall a solid game, could totally see this being a full game if fleshed out a little more :)
I liked how every step had a cost, not just the fights. It made exploring feel surprisingly tense, especially when I had to decide whether another room or enemy was worth the time. The hourglasses kept giving me just enough confidence to push a little deeper 😄 Nice roguelike idea!
This was fun! I played as wizard and enjoyed the loop of getting stronger and stronger, great game!!
