How does your game fit the theme?
You are experiencing the countdown of the universe, and must escape before your crumbling ship's life counts down (room decay rates increase overtime until you are overwhelmed). Your ship's stats count down as the number of, and distance to, incoming planets count down.

Cute, silly but very creative at the same time. Moving our cute little hamster around is really enjoyable. It's pretty well balanced, starting slow and progressively becoming hard, even if it became almost impossible to follow everything when I reached 4 hamsters (at least for me). Everything feels very polished, your team did a great job!

I’m surprised how quickly understandable the game is! I was afraid there would be a lot of information to keep track of, but everything is pretty intuitive. The drag’n drop mechanics works great, and the game always provide helpful feedback. There’s maybe only the fixing mechanic I didn’t really grasp. I felt that some room would randomly break, and I had to assign a hamster to a fixing tile to eventually make it work again? But I always lost because one room would break at a very bad time, and there was nothing I could do to prevent it or ensure it is fixed in time. It was still fun anyway! The cute art and sound effects made for a lovely experience. Well done!

Thanks for the feedback! We considered a health bar for each of the rooms so you would know better when to repair before it disabled , but we thought it would be too much screen clutter, and we didn't have enough time to implement it.

I love the concept of resource distribution via super cute hamsters

I LOVED IT! I lost when ship became on fire but that's not a problem

I am so bad at this. But otherwise I had a blast playing this. I love this concept and haven't really come across any games this jam that does this idea. I've tried like 10 times to get to the end but not being able to juggle all the hazards and the need to sleep is really hard!

such a creative idea!! i really enjoyed playing

I loved the art of the game. The gameplay loop is so cool and the theme is implemented in a very unique way. I had so much fun!

Reminded me of Lovers on a dangerous space time, but i like the simplified way to move the hamsters, great job!

I enjoyed it very much! It reminds me of "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime", but with only one player, which makes it so hectic when you have too many hamsters. I was overwhelmed when I had 6(I think?) hamsters and lost after having visited 3 of the planets, one of them died of exhaustion. I found it very interesting that the bottleneck was that the beds were more and more occupied and I had to time them just right between their sleep schedules.

Good job!

The art is super cute, and the game concept is great — you need to manage each dog's rest and work time.

It got really intense toward the end — a fun experience!

The hamsters are very cute! The multitasking goes crazy.

Yo I'm playing all the games with the word 'Astro' in the title, so far loving 'em.

This game is MANIC, the mechanic clicks immediately and in no time at all you are throwing your mouse across the screen with wayyy to many things to handle at once.

Starts getting really tough around planet 3 and at that point I wouldn't mind a quick warning to let me know which hamster is about to overwork itself to death (take that sentence out of context).

Graphics are super cute and the audio is goofy and fun, especially the way the derpy hamster sounds contrast with the super-serious space ambiance.

Great game!

The game is so fun and cute! I felt so bad because I'm terrible at multitasking and my poor hamsters kept dying of exhaustion :(

Cool game!!!

Very fun! I'm very bad at multitasking, and am impressed I survived as long as I did! Cool game!

Very cute, very addicting, and very frustrating. The management was a challenge! The art and sound and music are all great. One thing I wish, I wish if a fire was put out, hamsters that had been stopped by it would go back to work on their own - that part kept really tripping me up. Great execution!

I absolutely love it, it's very cute and addicting. I got to planet 4 before it got too hard to keep up (also hamsters are the best!!!)

It was great having to manage resources with hamsters! I couldn't repair the ship no matter how long the hamster was there, but I may have misunderstood how that works. I love the concept though, very cool!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game! We ran out of time to make it more clear, but basically,

  • The rooms are always decaying a little bit
  • You can keep a hamster fixing the patches on the floor to maintain the room health
  • When the room health gets too low, the room bursts into flames, which disables the stations in the room and also makes the ship overall lose health
