The game is super polished and well done and playing it is super satisfying, the gameplay does get pretty repetitive, buts its obviously not a game meant to be played for a long time haha! Great work making this!

Very unique game! You got the sfx just right

Very strange world and a great mechanic. I was wondering how the mechanic could be transformed into a longer game. Maybe by playing a story that fits the mechanic well in context? would be interesting to see. Good execution of the game and nice controls. Great job!

The atmosphere of this game is awesome! Felt like a playable tech demo. Not much gameplay here but I love the ambience.

Definitely one of the more creative takes on the theme I've seen, well done. The shattering animation and aesthetic is really cool. Gameplay is not necessarily my cup of tea as I wanted there to be more mechanics and tradeoffs for how to play, but the interesting concept really drives this submission. Very well done!

I am not even sure how it’s supposed to work properly lol. but I made it to the 600 one and I couldn’t beat that one but something is so satisfying about breaking things and the effect of the numbers on the broken glass is so cool. This was truly unique. And I loved the text about total destruction

Wow! This is really satisfying! Enjoyed it so much! Great Work!

Thank you!

Your voice acting is so banger by the way :P

Hey! Really good concept! First game that I actually finish! The game could also have been nice if it was more puzzler like with some places you cannot break or places that will give you extra shards. But I think it's my idea and also that if it was more complicated, it would have been less satisfying. So I don't know how you did it, but good job!

Developer

No I think those are great ideas actually! My original goal for the game was an incremental where your glass-breaking became more powerful, I never even thought about changing the screen itself 😮

This game is weird man. I mean, in a good way.

I started playing clicking without understanding what was going on, took me a couple tries to understand the timer forcing you to remove the pieces. Finished it in 12 and a half minutes. At first I was clicking around cautiously trying to remove the glass, but the game changer for me was finding out that holding the mouse button worked so it became sort of those cleaning games, it was much more fun trying to remove as much glass as I could.

The glass removing sound felt great, it's soothing in a way. It mixes well with the dark meditative sound in the back (I say dark because I didn't find it as relaxing as other people, but it was an interesting reflective mood either way).

The messages between glass shattering felt a bit bland, sort of like those gurus that speak in trivias instead of saying things straight-forward. But I liked the message at the end. It works with the gameplay and the presentation. At some points I was bothered by some lines at the borders of the screen as if there were shatters just out of sight, but I couldn't do much to remove them. At the last test when I  tried to remove as much glass as fast as I could, the falling pieces would glitch and become invisible, maybe due to too much to render at once?

Ah, does the game force you to lose at the second stage? I lost both times I played. But the second run I tried to speed run it, very fun to remove the glass.

Developer

Really appreciate the thorough review, nizbel. I do wish I tuned the glass breaking physics a bit better so people won't get cooked on early levels like you did. But I'm glad you were able to finish anyway!

Very satisfying and enjoyable.

Developer

Thank you! Your game was really fun to play too

Super satisfying mechanic and a really creative use of countdown. I really love the atmosphere!! I just  regret I took 3 levels to figure out I could click and drag!!

Developer

Aww yup, that's the downside with learn-as-you-go experiences, ome players get lost along the way. Really glad to hear you stuck with it and had a fun time anyway!

I don't know whether to feel scared from the music or satisfied from the glass breaking sound. But god damm, the sound design is peak.

Developer

Hahahaha, thank you for the feedback! 😆

terrifying music, but the game was cool and breaking glass was very unique touch. overall the game was amazing

Although I personally found it a bit tedious, I think that's just a matter of it not being my kind of game; I can appreciate the simplicity and "satisfying-ness" of the mechanics, and how well the tone is set.

Wow, this is pretty much my own thoughts about the game too honestly. Glad you liked the "juice," but yea I really wish I got around to the variations and incremental upgrades I had in my initial scoping.

Thanks for playing!

Wow, I hope I got it right, but I immediately thought I had to secure broken pieces more than the number specified. It became much more difficult as the level progressed as smaller pieces are easily discarded. Such an interactive and fun game! Looking forward to making awesome games with you in the future, Josiah.

Developer

Really appreciate the kind words! Cheers, I'm sure we'll cross paths again :P

Great take on the concept, very simple but effective. I wish there was little variations that forced you to play without making the most optimal crack but I still had a good time. I also think sweeping the glass at the end could be a little more satisfying, maybe make the cursor a little bigger at that stage?

Developer

Thank you, really good feedback! Especially the cursor update during glass sweeping, it's now first on my list of post-jam updates

This is AMAZING!! I still don't fully know what I'm doing but it's so satisfying. Nice game!

Developer

Thanks so much! Yup idk what I'm doing either! Lemme go play your game :P

Wow very vibey and meditative, feels like a very deliberate mood you went for. Wish I could play a giant hires full screen version. Are you using a voronoi shader to compute the shard boundaries?

Developer

Oh shoot I gotta enable fullscreen!

I tried voronoi, but random walks from an origin point ended up matching more with the real physics. Would've added radial cracks if I had more time :)

Its a nice interactive experience, you really know how to set the mood.

Great job

Really appreciate your comment! Massive kudos to Stella's sound design, really made the atmosphere complete

Lovely game! A very inventive concept and a crazy amount of cohesion for a 1-day project!

Developer

High praise coming from someone who submitted such a remarkably polished game. Thanks so much!
