Fun game with some very well designed abilities that makes for a very tense game. The art, especially for the tarts is nice. There is a few sfx missing (like one when you get blown out) but those who are here are good and add a lot. The music is also perfect for the vibe even if a little too chill for when I am trying to crunch everything at the end x).

Nice game !

Developer

I actually completely forgot about that sfx oops, nice catch! A more intense soundtrack near the end of the timer is a good idea. Thanks a lot for checking it out!

Very cute. Changing recipes and stacking conditions really boosts the fun. Loved the design especially the cursor becoming a paw. Feels really polished as well.

This was such a cute game! The difficulty curve was also really nice with the need to think about more countdowns while also counting fruit. I did find myself just leaving the mouse on the cat at all times because thinking about the countdowns and also what location would be optimal to use them was frying my brain too much. But overall this was quite fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah even while I'm testing things out, I'll put my mouse cursor over the cat if things start getting too hectic, which I think is totally normal! We tried capturing a risk-reward mechanic, so it's definitely a risk trying to move the cursor away and use the abilities to your advantage. I'm glad you enjoyed!

I managed to bake all the yummy fruit tarts! It’s a super cute and very well-polished game, and I had lots of fun playing.

I don’t know if this happens only on my laptop, but the sound completely disappeared at random points while playing so I had to reload the game page (Thankfully, the game remembered which levels I had already completed, so that wasn’t much of an issue).

Once again, very impressive stuff for a 4-day game jam! Good job!

Developer(+1)

Dang that's weird, recently my web builds have had lots of issues regarding audio ;-; but I'm glad  you could finish the game despite that! Thanks for playing!

Super cute!! In the strawberry tart level, the values at the top of the screen were green when I had zero pineapples or kiwis, implying that zero was also an acceptable value as well as 1, but I failed the level when that was the case. I ended up having to stop myself from trying to get past a certain level because it was aggravating me, but only because I was having such a good time!

Developer

Hmm that’s strange, is it possible you didn’t meet the minimum number of strawberries? I’ll have to take a look at it, some of the levels are definitely more challenging than others but thanks a lot for playing!

I love this game! Wonderful art, pretty cool concept, amazing music and sfx! It's a very polished game for something made in just 4 days.

I love your game <3 It's so cute. And relaxing, and fun, and the difficulty twists for each recipe is well balanced. The use of count-downs to trigger abilities automatically works so well. Also, cute animals and food are at least half of the meaning of life, hence it's great when they're in games too. It makes a change from fight/combat/power stuff. And the music works so well with the game's atmosphere too :)

In addition, everything works well, which is difficult to do in a 4-days jam so you scoped your game very well, coded it well... I'm amazed ! You did not write a story so I dont put 5 stars everywhere but as a global mark I still want to give you a 20/20.

Thanks so much!

A very nice game. Great music and graphics.

This is really cute! I did find the pina colada level really frustrating though, since it was so easy to accidentally get one kiwi, especially when some of the timers overlapped with each other. I know you lampshade it in the text but it felt especially bad when I would get halfway through and then realize I'd apparently netted or teleported onto a kiwi ages ago.

But by golly, I finally baked every recipe in the end because it was really cute!

Developer(+1)

Haha sorry about that! I probably should've at least made it like strawberries or something instead of kiwis lol. I agree it's definitely frustrating not knowing you had accidentally picked up a kiwi, maybe in the future I should have a stronger indicator that shows that. But really glad you persevered and played it all the way through! Thanks for playing, I hope it was still an enjoyable experience!

This is so cute! I love the aesthetic and the gameplay is really unique! I like the fact that there are multiple things that can happen with your mouse, and I liked  the fact that you can control which fruit spawns more. I kinda wish that there was a baking minigame after you collect the ingredients but overall really solid execution, well done!

Developer(+1)

A baking minigame would be really cute! Could be something similar like mixing ingredients and such. Thanks a lot for playing!

I love the idea of the game, it feels so unique. Its a short fun game to play, I hope more people plays it.

One of the best implementations of the theme in my opinion. My only suggestion is that in the select recipe menu you emphasize that each recipe is a level, so players know that they are becoming gadually harder, cause i thought each recipe was simply different, not that each one was harder than the previous one, so i didnt start in the level 1 until i realized. What i mean is that the current recipe selection menu (although it has a visible number in each recipe) doesnt seem like a selection where there is a progression and you should start in recipe 1, it seems like you should choose the one you prefer .

Great game!

Developer

Ah yeah ran into problems like that when playtesting, sorry about that! I’m glad you enjoyed though! I’ll probably just make it explicit at the start

Super nice vibes, took me a while to get my head round all the different mechanics but very satisfying once I did!

Cute game, I really like how hectic things can get, keeping track of abilities, WASD, and keyboard movement at the same time can be really engaging. UI and art were awesome; the only suggestion would be variations in abilities. Something like more frequent but smaller bombs, or optional upgrades may be something to consider. Very cozy!

The periodic teleport was an interesting element to manage alongside all the fruit ratio counts. Great and colorful art for all of the collectibles.

Really cute! I love the art and the concept; well done!

This is an awesome entry! I had great fun with it :)

Is there a way to loose some of your fruits? Because if there isn't, maybe the game gets into a state that is impossible to win, like you've caught 4 strawberries when MAX was 3 ... you could either insta loose ( and maybe give the user visual feedback that the strawberry they are about to pick will be deadly.... like adding an effect to it... ) or there should be a way to loose fruit

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! There’s no way to lose fruits, so the UI counter for your strawberries would become red to show you’ve gone over the maximum, so yeah unfortunately would have to restart through the pause menu. Sorry about that friction!

Submitted(+1)

That's okay :)
Every jam game will have some friction, it's inevitable
