Okay this was fun!
I love the main mechanic of getting new parts to give yourself enough time. Even if they aren't exactly great you are gonna need something. And I think the concept has a bit of potential.
Other the missed opportunity of maybe an endgame where you try to dialogue your way out to win before you die from bounty hunting (hmmm.. questionable intention okay this may be a bit iffy lmao), I think I enjoyed it overall. I love the whimsy and soul in this one as well.
I knew I had to stop by even if I had [33 minutes remaining] and damn the rating count is a bit lower than I thought. Still...Thank you for submitting to the game jam!
Thank you... RoboYuri...
RoboYuri?
Because um... you're Yuring with a Robot.
Oh yeah.
In all seriousness, this had a really fun style and the timed upgrades gave the gameplay loop a neat challenge. The dialogue was also very adorable!
i think this game needs more time, i like the idea of needing at least one upgrade to survive, and the fact that the time continues in the shop, which forces you to buy buy upgrades quickly whether good or bad
but it's really undercut by the font choice and crt effect which makes the text really hard to read quickly
and i feel like the main shooting loop is missing some polish and some fine tuning
anyways, i like the fact that it's robot yuri, good job
I honestly can't encapsulate this game with words
It was nice, I lvoe bullethells. Like many games in this jam, I'd say pausing the timer when you have to read upgrade descriptions would be nice.
The concept is quite interesting, having to purchase negative upgrades in order to continue playing, and the visuals are quite nice too! Congrats :)
MY GAME HAS ROBOT AND YURI TOO >.<
Love me some Yuri
But yaoi is better
Fun little bullet hell!
Pretty polished and entretaining, and beautiful asthetics!
Nice work!!! :)
I LOVE ROBO YURI!!!
Fun game with fun theming, I'm a bit confused as to why some upgrades are negative though? I get that you would purchase them so you can have more life, but because there are upgrades that give upwards of 120+ seconds, it doesn't make sense to spend money on a downgrade when I could just ignore the shop that round then buy an actual upgrade + more time to live the next round.
Very upset to have this in my game history. But here we are. And for what its worth. I'm about it!
Really cool concept! Feels like a speed run game when you want to make the most out of your upgrades, I think one of my upgrades made my bullets extremely slow and I couldn't kill anything and couldn't see more robot yuri </3
Nooooo.. no more robot yuri </3
yeah some of the upgrades are just straight up nerfs, they will keep you alive though.
Thanks for playing <3
Neat concept that could be worthy of being expanded further 🤔I'd say leaning even more towards the temporary upgrades-side of things would make for a really interesting game !
(completely get rid of perma-upgrades and just keep the temporary ones)
I don't know if the interactions with shopkeeper(s) should stop the timers or not honeslty, on one hand stopping the timers allows for more engaging narrative/interactions (since the player can focus on the text without stressing over the timer)
But on the other hand it's kinda interesting to have to choose between Yuri-maxxing (and losing precious time) or just playing the game normally 🤔Lots of things could be explored here
I liked it ! Bullet hell games are cool ^v^
Thanks for the feedback :3
I think i would want to try the concept again but with more unique gameplay and polish.
Im also still thinking about the whole shopkeeper and pausing the timers thing. I think it might work better if the upgrades are slightly longer so they dont despawn as fast.
Thanks for playing :3 and giving very yummers feedback <3
I wish there was more yuri… I liked the idea! It was “wicked” hard though
I also wish there was more yuri 😔
together we can make the world a better place by creating more yuri…
we have to get on the daily grindset to make more yuri
YURI FOREVER
good game! I really like the idea of needing new parts to stay afloat, SUPER unique take on the concept
Thanks for playing <3
You shall be blessed with infinite yuri, forever :3
Not surely if it is entirely intentional but I do kind of like how the upgrades still count down in the store it kind of rushes you to buy the upgrades and I unintentionally bought the inverted movement upgrade apparently xd, really solid bullet hell game, i do wish the upgrade countdowns perhaps went transparent as you go up to the top left of the screen, as it kind of blocks the visibility of the player. also more yuri would be nice, that game name immediately caught my attention lol. really solid game, art and concept.
hii :3 thanks for the feeedback.
It is actually intentional that the upgrades count down in the shop! We planned on having more dialogue options and being able to interact with the shopkeeper for some more yuri action, and then the player wouldve also had to balance that, while being rushed through buying upgrades.
Thanks for playing <3
pretty fun shooter! Not entirely sure where the yuri kicks in BUT I still had some fun with it!
Thanks for playing :3
We didnt have a lot of time to add more yuri stuff :( so the only yuri is the shopkeeper flirting with you
Fun little game!
I like how the enemies just turn into stock photos of cash lmao
Also idk if it was intentional or a bug but my movements got inverted midway through and i died..
lmao that was half intentional! :3
its when you get an upgrade that gives you negative movement speed... resulting in inverted movement.
Thanks for playing <3
I really liked the core idea and of course yuri is there, so this was always going to be interesting to me.
I did enjoy it, but I also had a couple of issues, mainly that the timer does not stop once in the shop - I can see how that would give players agency but I also feel like sometimes I don't have enough money to buy anything but I still have to go to shop and waste 5-8s of the run, which can be detrimental, especially during the first room.
I do like the simplistic game play and enemy/player art, the movement though a bit heavy is nice and the core gameplay is nice to play as well.
The upgrades do definitely give the players quite a bit of choices. Risk and reward or safe kinda stuff.
Though that does mean it ends up depending on RNG a lot more if you want to go deeper/
The character art is awesome and the sound design is done nicely as well. and while I do like the animations of the shop, they take away from the timer which is a bit of an issue imo.
Otherwise a really cool game.
Thanks you for the feedback :3
Ive noted everything down in my silly little feedback book.
I do wish we couldve replaced the player and enemy sprites with actual assets though, to match with the rest of the games visual identity, but sadly we did not have time :(
glad that it still worked decently enough though :3
thanks for playing <3 and for appreciating the yuri, you shall be blessed with infinite yuri for the rest of your life :3
