How does your game fit the theme?
As you dive deep, you're on a tight countdown as your air supply counts down. The theme is tied into multiple mechanics: the countdown triggered whenever you hit a bomb, an orca descending at regular intervals to devour you, or even the Minesweeper-style gameplay itself.

Cool concept. Nice twist on minesweeper.
Gotta love a good twist when it comes to games :)
Thanks for playing!
i "dig" this game
ill see myself out
*applauds as you leave*
Thanks for playing our game :D
Very neat concept! Understanding that it was minesweeper was really cool and most of the mechanics were really intuitive! I did not immediately read the sides as having relevant information for the first three loops, but once I got in the swing it was really fun! Awesome job!
I'm glad that you got the hang of it!
Thanks for playing our game!
This was a neat concept. Taking the classic minesweeper and switching it up! Artwork is gorgeous and the sounds effects fit really well. Really enjoyed this one.
Aww thank you, we're really proud of this entry, thanks for playing it!!
A clever combination of two fun mechanics and epic pixel art. When I was a kid, I loved Mr Driller on my GBA. This brings me back!
Mr Driller came up a couple of times during our discussions when making this, so I'm glad it resonated with you.
Thanks for playing!!
This so cool! I love the art and concept. What a beautiful game, I'd buy this!
Wow, glad to hear it!! Thanks for playing our game!
I am a sucker for minesweeper-esc games so this is already one of my faves. Super polished and the art style is soooo cute. I did however encounter an error upon starting: NotAllowedError: A user gesture is required to request Pointer Lock. It was a pop up, but after I could play just fine! Also the cursor in the pause menu overlays the pixel cursor. Wonderful work!
I'm glad we could scratch that itch for you during this game jam :D
And thanks for the feedback there, thanks for playing!
10/10 Game absolute perfection It would be a crime is Mark doesn't include you in the video.
Tons of amazing games in this jam so Mark and team have their work cut out for them (fingers crossed for a cameo though)!
Thanks so much for playing our game!
10/10 no notes. I'll see you in the youtube video 🫡
Hahahahahaha this comment had me laughing for a while, thanks for commenting.
And thanks for taking the time to play our game :D
The gameplay is so fun and the graphics are beautiful! I love it.
Thanks so much for playing. I'm glad that you enjoyed it :)
T he art and game idea is incredible. I absolutely love all the feedback and the little joystick hands on the side of the screen are infinitely adorable!
I played for around 20-30 minutes and my time melted away but I was very frequently having issues where falling or moving around I would just accidentally mine a bomb leading to it sometimes feeling a bit unfair. I am not sure how to improve that
Thanks for spending so much time playing our game! And thanks for the feedback!
So polished, nice job!
Thanks for playing!!
Sick game, very nice art/sfx and juice. Found it difficult to get down without consistently hitting bombs but might be a skill issue
We love our juice here, and thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for playing our game!
it just feels really good to play and I also love the art it kinda reminds me of cave story tbh
Cave story is one of my FAVs. So glad this resonated with you in that way :))
Thanks for playing!
Man this was FUN! It really brought back some nostalgia of playing "Mr Driller" on the PS1 all those years ago, I feel like the gameplay is very similar. Audio is really good and love the artwork : )
Mr Driller did in fact get discussed a couple of times during development, I'm glad this reminded you of that game!
Thanks for playing!!
I've spent more time on this that I should have lol. Such a cool game!
A small complaint though - The hitboxes of the bombs are way too big. I understand that this punishes the people breaking incorrect bricks due to the minesweepeer rules, but in a wave of getting chased by an orca AND the depleting health, I've been breaking the blocks just to get to those bubble bricks. And when I encounter a bomb, the room for the escape is so little that I end up losing way too quickly.
Or maybe it's just a skill issue on my side, who knows haha.
Either way, had a lot of fun with this game!
P.S. Oh yeah, also the music is absolute banger B)
Thanks for the feedback (and yea I kinda agree)!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for playing!!
Using minesweeper was such a good idea, this is the best game i've played so far. Fitting a whole shop system in the time limit is impressive along with everything else.
I'm glad that you were impressed with it all, thanks for playing our game :DD
Amazing idea, never would have thought about it and a good execution.
I would suggest allowing the player to move even after mining but still reduce the air because right now I feel it is too punishing.
Thanks for the feedback,
and thanks for playing!
I think you achieved a great balance with the number of mines, enough to be a threat while not too many to be constant!
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for playing too!
Super cute! I love that you combined minesweeper logic with something new
Yes! Gotta love a classic recontextualized!
Thanks for playing!
