Looks fantastic, love the presentation. Nice take on the incremental game idea. Happy to see Slenderman getting over his writers block. Well done!
The game is relaxing and enjoyable. The CRT filter is a nice touch.
The best game I have played in the jam so far! Very fun simple idea executed perfectly. Shaders make life in 3D worth living
Hmm... doesnt work on mobile, but I will check it out on pc. I already like it just from the screenshots, you have done the crt effect very convincing. I love to see other people make retro looking games too. Looking forward to playing!
Thank you! Since it's a typing game, we haven't prioritized making the mobile version work properly. But you should definitely give it a try on PC, it only takes about 5–6 minutes to finish. I hope you enjoy it!
army of slendermans trying to write a book about convicing the big slenderman to write a book
dont steal my comment pls
😂
finally a game about slendermen who write notes for the real slenderman in the forest...(enjoyed visuals&audio, and the concept is very creative, but so uncomfortable to play >_<)
dont steal my comment pls
Hahaha, I love that interpretation. 😄 Thanks so much for playing!
We tried to make an incremental game that captures how creative work is often slow and uncomfortable at first, but becomes faster and more satisfying over time, which is why the upgrades exist (and you can unlock them pretty quickly).
That said, I totally understand what you mean. Thanks for the feedback!
Great vibe created by the art and peaceful sounds and music. Fun twist on a clicker game. Playing with grass was so satisfying. I like that once I upgraded everything I could just focus on the grass lol. I really liked at the end that you have to type your credits. It was a nice touch. Great job!
Thank you so much! I'm really happy you noticed all those little details we added, especially the credits at the end. That was one of my favorite touches to implement. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
i meaan, nice visuals and audio, but is the game enjoyable, i dont know. maybe having to reset typewriter with mouse broke the flow.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm really glad you liked the visuals and audio.
Regarding the typewriter breaking the flow, we actually designed the game as an incremental. The idea is that, at first, the process feels repetitive, but the upgrades you buy gradually automate and simplify those actions, making the progression feel satisfying. That's why one of the early upgrades makes the typewriter reset automatically.
That said, I completely understand your frustration. Thanks again for taking the time to play the game and share your thoughts!
Great shader work on the grass, the atmosphere was perfect. The only minor gripe is that I shouldn’t have been able to buy the auto paper replacement before maxing out the paper replacement timing. but otherwise was quite fun.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, the upgrade order is definitely on our "we ran out of time" list. 😅
I agree that, in its current state, it can feel a bit pointless.
Thanks again for playing and for the feedback!
Nice idea, very original!
Thanks!
Haha wow I did not think I would be as invested as I was. Great hook and loved the atmosphere as well as sound design! Great job!
Thank you! I'm really glad you liked it!
This game is such a fun take on the clicker game genre. The atmosphere is soo good. I also loved that you had to type in the credits haha, keeps up with the game.
Thank you so much! I'm really happy someone mentioned the credits. 😄
That was a little touch I had a lot of fun adding, so it's awesome to see it appreciated. Thanks for playing!
Perfect, hooked from the beginning. Loved everything about it. Loved the messaging about finishing things, beautiful. Best game I have played so far, fantastic job guys!
Wow, thank you so much! It honestly means a lot to hear you say it was your favorite game so far.
We're really happy the message resonated with you. Thanks so much for playing!
The grass effect is so satisfying. I was hooked from the start!
Thank you! 😁
This was amazing. Like really.
The presentation was amazing, from the still camera to the grass, the SFX... congratulations on that side.
And then, I really enjoyed the story. I don't know if it's on purpose, but I had this reflection about what happens when you do something not because you enjoy it but because of a random, senseless objective. Like writing 62 pages, not a good story. There was this moment when everything was automate when I couln't read the texts unless a paused the game. Made me feel weird (in a good sense).
Also, I really like the writing, the few sentences that the game has mean a lot.
So congratulations and thank you for the game!!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad the story resonated with you.
That was exactly our goal: to tell a story that anyone who's ever started a creative or meaningful project could relate to. Thanks again for playing and for such a thoughtful comment!
The game is really relaxing. From the little details to the sound design, everything feels so pleasant and cozy. I really enjoyed it!:00000000
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice, chill game, and lovely visuals too! the random typing felt pretty satisfying.
Thanks!!
Honestly a beautiful, heartfelt game. As someone who struggles to finish things, I really resonated with the narrative. The gameplay ties in perfectly with the story, with the first steps starting out as the most difficult, getting easier and easier until suddenly you're done, and you didn't even know it. I also loved the little details, like the grass interaction, the buildings popping up, and the CRT/pixelated shader. One of the best games I've seen so far, thank you for creating this wonderful experience!
I'm incredibly happy to hear that the narrative resonated with you. That was exactly what we hoped to achieve with this game. We wanted to capture the feeling that every meaningful journey has both difficult and easier moments, and that progress isn't always constant.
It really means a lot. Thank you so much for taking the time to play and to leave such a thoughtful comment. It genuinely made our day.
This game is absolutely beautiful, the vibe it creates is just immaculate, the second I loaded in I was drawn in, the mouse effects on the grass, the audio. 11/10
I'm glad the game we made made you feel this way, that's why we make games!
Nice little incremental (decremental?). The upgrades came at a good pace and there were nice little touches in it. Well done!
Also... do you wonder if anyone born this century has no appreciation for the typewrite effects? LOL.
Thank you so much!
