Very novel idea for a platformer! Shame that there was only one level though. Maybe also adding a bit of a transition between the effects would also have helped (for example, when zooming in/out, actually have the camera zoom rather than just cut to the new zoom level). Otherwise a solid core concept here!
A fun short game. The gameplay mostly just results in waiting the bad effects out and hoping you get good ones. If there was some way to influence which effects you get, I think it could be a lot of fun and feel more "active" instead of simply waiting for whatever the game decides your fate to be. Congrats on your submission and good work.
The worst thing about this game is that there is only 1 level! I loved the creativity in the debufs, so much variation, from bullshit to vibing! The music is a banger too, it's a package deal!
If only your ending wasn't a game crash :p
Nice job!
interesting gimmick that is balanced by having both gameplay-altering and non-altering "modes" each with their own duration. I would like to play more levels, maybe with a pool of easier modes for earlier ones?
This is pretty interesting. I don't think I've seen a concept quite like this, so that's cool. Honestly I feel like all the random mechanics are mostly kinda disorienting. But I guess that's the point lol. Cool game. Well done!
Awesome platformer! It was very fun learning all the gimmicks and waiting for the best one for a particular section. Great job!
Really great work! I had a lot of fun. It was challenging in the right ways and the quick changes kept me on my toes.
Making a mod where it's disco mode only
definitely the best one!
Very creative! Had a great time playing your game on stream. You kept on surprising me with the amount of effects.
The addition of keeping track how many times you died, felt very rewarding, especially if you cleared it in a few tries. My suggestion for improvement is extend the playtime by adding more challenging levels.
Well done!
This was really tough. I think the modifiers add a good level of challenge, though it often just leads to waiting for the next modifier that is easier to work with. That could be something to further explore how to make more interesting. Good job overall though.
Played at https://twitch.tv/hedge_in Part 2 @ 1:26:26. I thoroughly enjoyed this! It was really hard but cool!
Very creative concept, each of the mods were a fun surprise the first time around!
Choas mod the game. I was ragebaited many times, but managed to get through it in the end! I loved the soundtrack and SFX. Just wished there was more game to make myself more angry then I got!
I really enjoyed the concept! I would appreciate some more player feedback for actions like jumping, a sound or particle effect goes a long way. I also think some colour would make this game stand out even more. Good work as I had fun even though I kept dying to those spinning enemies! I played this on stream: https://www.twitch.tv/nebsterlive
Cool game, nice concept! I think it would need some SFX, but overall, great ! <3
Great game!
I really like how there are so many random events with a timer! I especially liked the delayed input, it was really challenging for me. I think it would be even more challenging for me if there were something chasing the player, because I noticed that I barely moved when a difficult event appeared haha. But still love the mechanics!
This is a very, very clever premise. I was impressed by the large number of weird effects, and some of them were a lot of fun to deal with.
Some of the transitions make player death inevitable in certain scenarios: e.g., drawing No Jump when you are on a platform that includes an enemy walking towards the player. This is of course part of the chaos, but it feels a little unfair.
A sound effect would be helpful each time the event changes! Yes, it's usually clear enough, but once in a while I missed it.
DISCO MODE!
Overall nice game.
Nice game, could have had more feedback, but had fun despite how bad Mav is at platforming ^^"
