This was an experience haha. Well done, this was so funny! Everything from the emails to the music player and the overall narrative. If there's a way to beat it, let me know and i'll be back, but for now i think i'd like to just believe that the player was never meant to win, and that the company only called them there to have someone to blame :P

The emails were so funny to read! Had a blast playing this game, also really trying to copy the manual code at the start! Also, the you can't skip music due to management, or pause it; it was low-key peak too! The colors were awesome, and I loved how you created an entire operating system for the game jam! Only suggestion would be to minimize the windows, but I rest my case, defo one of the best games in the jam so far!

this was impressive for a jam game. I mean everything looked great, the humor was on point. Especially the email from the mom lol. I think I had the most fun with the humor of the game, which I’ll be honest in most games I always skip the reading, but since this game was all about reading I actually found it fun. And I loved the operating system look and feel. I hope more people play the game because it’s definitely one of the more unique takes I’ve seen for this game jam. Also cool to see a gamemaker game. I used godot this time around but I’ve used gamemaker a lot for previous jams and a long term game project I’m working on

It makes sense that you had fun with the humor, because that's what I had the most fun doing for the game :) I am a color palette freak, so I really needed to find some cool colors for the interface too, and that took me quite some time. I really appreciate your comment because not releasing a web build in time meant that my game was pretty much invisible to most people, which of course is to be expected.
I haven't used any engines other than GM (with the exception of some custom engines I made in GW-Basic about three decades ago, lol) and I don't think I will, to be honest! It's hard enough learning one of them :) Good luck with your long-term project!
Wow, what an incredible game! The graphics are stunning, and the storyline is incredibly engaging. The mechanics of operating an in-game computer create a highly immersive experience, especially the tension of fixing a nuclear reactor's cooling system! It plays like a complete, polished release. Congratulations on the fantastic work!

This is a hidden gem, and I feel like I have read emails that I shouldn't have. If this had a web version, it would have been much more popular.
Hey, thank you! I pity the person that goes through those emails for the first time lol. By the time I tried to export a web version from Gamemaker it was too late, and I didn't want to risk uploading a buggy web version for the jam, so I decided to just keep it Windows-only :)
