Great game. This deserves to do well, and the theme incorporation is awesome.

Bruh, this was one of the best submissions I have played. The game is simple, yet so well tweaked. GREAT JOB!!!!

I really like both the concept and the execution! The way the countdown timer is integrated into every part of the game is very smart. The time on the floor and the buy phase also enable many different strategies and encourage players to take risks (I got too greedy and messed up after saving too much time on the floor).

My favorite moment was when I created a chain reaction that blew up the entire map. That was very satisfying!

Really fun and well designed game!

This was really addictive! Feels like a great proof of concept for something that could be turned into a much larger game! Took me a while to figure it out, but when I did, it was pretty great. I would've enjoyed more tiles that active below a certain number and not ON a certain number - I got screwed over with a 13 tile lol

I really enjoyed the concept, felt like you had to use real strategy to defeat enemies by planting the right attacks. Lot of potential there!

Well done :)

This was really fun! Nice gameplay loop, and really interesting idea. It would be fun to see a larger map and some different challenges using these mechanics.

Very satisfying combo mechanics! The trade-off of having more time at round start vs buying more things at the shop is excellent. You did a great job on the UI front (big fan of the directional indicators on the edges of the spells); it's so cool to see a jam game that has proper item descriptions. Great work!

Love this one a lot! Makes math a lot more fun and almost makes it a rhythm-game somewhat with how you have to pay attention to that beat. Challenging in the best way. Movement was smooth. Creating a lovely little chain of runes was the most satisfying, though! Good game!

This is weirdly enough the second time I have played as a walking wizard's hat in this game jam

That aside this is one of the best games in the game jam, it's simple yet has surprising depth in it

Really cool idea!! I liked that it got me thinking in the shop but then the actual gameplay was pretty fast paced.

Awesome game! Love those types of games, really good twist on a theme. Artwork is also quite nice. The game is really addictive, will totally return to it later

Wow, this game was very, very fun! I love the idea and the chaining is very satisfying and rewarding. The artwork is great as well, and it is overall very polished. Good job!

Very, very cool game.

I love rouglike element and how if you want to become stronger, you will die faster XD

I feel like it is both too powerful, and both very well balance. Or maybe it's just me spamming runes every floor and escaped almost dying XD

Took me a while to learn how to play though, so I think a tutorial would help.

And although I love the artwork, i think a few clearer deathh animation would be nice as well

Great game nonetheless :DD

Good ideas in here. Good scope also, it is well finished !

The risk/reward in this game is done incredibly well! I lost my first attempt because I'd spent all my time in the shop. The fire enemies were a bit annoying to get into spell areas, but that's probably a skill issue on my behalf. Good job!

Really great game - my favorite so far! I like how making the game easier is tightly bound with making the game a bit harder (at least temporarily). Though, I did kinda cheese it by not picking up the dropped clocks, waiting until the end of a wave, and then buying stuff for both the 30-second refill you get + the dropped clocks. :D

Just one minor thing I noticed - it seems you can't really "sell back"/put down a part you picked up but haven't placed down yet. I would appreciate it if I could change my mind. But I really enjoyed it nonetheless, thank you for making it!

This was really cool, I loved the concept. Two things that I noticed:

I'm not sure whether this is already the case, but the pricing of certain fields relative to how useful they are was a bit off in some places. For example, fields that can only be activated on high numbers (e.g. 27) are extremely situational because you can only use them if you didn't buy anything in the round before and almost always end up basically being single use only because you can't get above their counter value ever again, whereas a field that activates on, lets say 15, can easily be activated multiple times throughout because it is vastly more flexible.

Another thing is that sometimes, ranged enemies just don't move in a way that lets you even hit them before the time runs out, this almost happened multiple times and I'd imagine losing that way would be very frustrating.

Also, you can kinda cheese by leaving time pickups for next round, they don't despawn. not sure if that's intentional.

This was awesome! Really great fun, and such a cool concept as well!

Loved the artwork and the gameplay felt really smooth - definitely coming back to this one again soon!

I enjoyed this a lot, I lost a game because a skeleton was stuck at the top of the map and I couldnt kill it with the tiles but thats my own fault. good game!
