I absolutely loved the aesthetic, and the way you described the elements for the potions to make them (and the french translation was a very nice addition ^^ ) ! Congrats on the game ! I would completely imagine it as a fully fledged game
I commend the art in this game. However, I found it hard to know what bowl to use or what some clues pointed to. I also couldn't send it into the fire and there were no visual clues I did it wrong. Though the asthetics of the game are absolutely amazing. Maybe I'm just not the person for this type of game.
Thank you for your comment ! The descriptions are not straightforward to encourage deduction and trial & errors, but indeed the feedbacks for the success or failure of the potion are not noticeable enough : the SFX is not ne same, and there is a text displayed at the top indicating it, but too small and too far away from what is looked at on the screen, which is mainly around the book and middle of the screen. For the fire, you can click on it to reset the current bowl and ingredients, not drag it into the fire, but indeed that's not crystal clear either.
Thank you for playing :D
I was brewing my potions peacefully and casually ignoring this annoying crow, but I guess I should have hurried up a bit more x) Very cute game, I particularly liked the riddles to add a bit of challenge ! Also thank you for adding french support (ça m'a bien aidé). Well done, congrats !! Bravo pour le jeu :)
The gameplay is simple but it's very satisfying to do it super fast when you've understood every ingredient's phrasing. The art and the music both are delightful and create a super nice mood and mysterious storytelling-without-telling. Love it, well done!
Cay boooo !
Loved that instead of telling straigth which ingredient to use, you guys used a beautiful description of them.
One small thing that would be nice but not obligatory would be a "trash" option to reset the potion when you realized that you made a mistake.
Anyways great job and great game!
Ohhh I love the art design, that looks like from a story book, the way the items are described was clever
Really cool! Need some switch up and different descriptions for the same item to keep you figuring out things, but otherwise very solid!
This! it tickles all the right spots of the fantasy to becoming an ermit in the forest!
This is such an awesome game. I was literally gobsmacked at the reveal of the eldrich beeing. Such a creepy design and with the beautiful music it created such a good atmosphere! Everything in this game looks and sounds so good and deducing the right ingredients was pretty fun too. 10/10 jam game
Such a gorgeous game and the music is killer too! The tracing mechanic was good fun as well
I’ll start with the ‘negative’ which is that the gameplay is a bit generic and not the most entertaining, as it remains a quite basic drag & drop ingredients cooking game at core (as the only novelty is the way ingredients are described and that novelty fades fast).
However, the execution is impressive for a jam game. The art is beautiful and I loved having the crow coming to the window to announce the time remaining (+ the detail of the sunlight progressively fading out and the room getting slightly darker). The way the ingredients are described in the recipes works perfectly in the setting and while the story might be simple, it does the job and the different end cinematics bring it to life. The audio is great as well, building up tension as the day progresses and getting darker when night comes.
Insane Art Design, I really enjoyed the gameplay with figuring out which descriptions corresponds to which ingredient. I would definitely play a full scaled game for hours! The game really rewards you for playing it longer.
Insane art, absolutely beautiful, especially the end sequence images! Nice gameplay with some interesting mechanics, all very well exectued, although I'm apparently not very good at it :D
The art and theming on this is fantastic, I loved the moon posing during the failure screen, really cool. I also enjoyed working out what each thing meant as I was going. I would have liked some feedback on each potion as there was a couple I wasn't sure of and I think I probably made the same mistakes multiple times! Really liked this one
