This is a fascinating way to use a countdown and portals and with tight platforming controls!

Developer

Thanks :D

this quite an interesting game with an unusual approach to the time and the paradoxes of time travel i got confused with the controls at the beginning, but when i got used to them i enjoyed the puzzlers.  Nice entery!

Developer

Thank you!

I tried my best It looks really fun, And I love the art and movement, I just unfortunately couldn't beat the very first jump (I had triple jump but I couldn't scale the wall, even with spamming or spacing it out):( The game looks great tho. Congrats!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I didn't realize this was a hard jump but now that I think about it, the timing is pretty tight yeah. If you want to give it another try to experience the portals: the timing of the 3 jumps seems to be about the same as the beat of the music (which is totally unintentional lol). It also seems to help to press Right only when you think you cleared the height.

Alr Im back! I'm ready for a second chance lol

Submitted(+1)

yay I beat the jump!! and played a bit more I enjoyed It art is great sfx are too (just a bit loud compared to the music) Only things is the timer feels a bit invisible. But Now that I figured out the jump mechanic it was a lot more fun! Great Job!!

Thanks!

I love the concept of this one. The on screen tutorial button's were broken for me so I had to figure out the controls by mashing the keyboard. :D What can I do to clear the portals? I wanna give it a full go.

Developer(+2)

Thanks for trying it out! Yeah I don't know why the arrow keys don't show up in the web build (it worked in Godot). Clearing portals are the Q and E keys. I suggest having one hand on WASD position and one hand on Arrows position. You can look at the game page for more details including controls. Good luck!

Thanks for the hints. Managed to get farther through now. I'll keep banging my head till I make it.
Awesome work mate. Love the custom art and sounds you made. :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks, it means a lot I am a programmer first and I am just winging it :)

Neat graphics, but i could not get up the first platform, could not figure out what to do... :(

Developer(+1)

Thank you, check out the video if you are stuck! There are also tips on the game page, but it only gets worse after that ^^'

Submitted(+2)

aah, there is a double jump.. :)

Developer(+1)

Triple even!

Submitted(+2)

Very creative, and the game feels pretty fun to play.

The game has a lot of potential and I can see this being a full release game, I think the game is a bit difficult but with some polish this can be very fun.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!

Submitted(+2)

I enjoy the concept, but it doesn't feel very smooth to play. I was struggling hard with the tripple jump (but that might just be a skill issue, I suck at platformers haha) Overall a nice play tho!

Submitted(+2)

Sadly the game is quite buggy, I got stuck in the wall or floor multiple times, they keyboard keys are not rendered correctly. But after playing around in it for a while, I agree with the others, it's an interesting idea!

Developer(+1)

Damn that sucks, I played through it more times than I can count, and only encountered one minor bug. I don't how even know how I could get stuck in a wall, maybe with the moving platforms? Thank you for playing though!

Submitted(+1)

interesting idea but quite annoying to play in practice and unintuitive too.

Submitted(+2)

Very interesting idea with building that warp net

Submitted(+2)

Very cool game but quite challenging at times for me

Submitted(+2)

Nice work. I am a big fan of platformers. I was great to see how you made it fit with the theme!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it!

Submitted(+2)

I agree with Ipsio on the difficult level design! Balance is a really hard thing to get right in a game jam, and you still have a really creative idea to back up the gameplay. Nicely done!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for playing! I had this "timed metroidvania" idea well before the jam and it was the perfect time to execute it. I am proud of the result, however for my 2nd jam, typical discrete levels would have been easier to manage and balance.

Good idea, I really liked this idea of placing and managing portals in a platformer setting.

However, the controls and level design are way to difficult to handle. I didn't managed to go very far and had to rely on the video to really know what the full game looks like.

Submitted(+1)

I agree that the level design and controls make it feel unfair. I also got stuck upside down in the floor.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for giving it your best! I agree the double laser section is too much of a ramp up and I would have done it differently. I started adding difficulty options like more checkpoints, more time, but only managed to add the button press duration.
