I had a great time with this one. The gameplay feels smooth and well thought out, the different areas keep things interesting, and while the story is fairly straightforward, it's enjoyable and wraps everything up nicely!!

The mechanics are really fun, especially the swinging mechanic! It's impressive how many gimmicks you not only implemented, but used creatively throughout the levels (case and point: the pistons. Very creative!)
Great work! (i will be protecting the little blob with my life)
"This game makes you feel like spider man" IGN
Very cute game and the movement is very smooth and nice.
I also have an affinity for jelly-like creatures that like words that start with B (Bloop Towers).
The platforming was great. The graphics are fantastic, both in the dialogue sequences and throughout the rest of the game. Also, I nearly died from cuteness overload the first time that slime went to sleep. However, I wish the game had supported arrow key controls as well. At times, I felt like I was losing control of the slime. I haven’t had time to 100% complete it yet, but I’d love to play through the whole thing at some point.
nice platforming! Visual novels aren't really my thing so I sped through those parts but was able to understand the story (and, having just taken a class on Programming Languages, creating a high-level language + transpiler in less than 3 days is impressive to say the least... I'm sure our protagonist would find success anywhere). Nice work!
I felt like Spider Blob, and I mean that as high praise. The movement in this game is really something, and it plays fair: every death felt like my fault and a lesson for the next attempt.
Piston Vault was my favorite map, a great mix of platforming while dodging danger, with Coolant Pumps’ built in race and Steam Vents’ close calls right behind it. Also, Professor Palmer teaching PalmLang got a real laugh out of me. Long live Palm++ :)
A couple thoughts if you keep developing after the jam. A harder mode where death resets you to 0% instead of keeping breaker progress could pull in players who want more pressure. The forgiving version is part of the charm though, so maybe that’s a difficulty toggle rather than a change. And you could sell danger cheaply by coloring words like “can’t” and “don’t” in the warning text. I misread “can’t” as “can” on my first run, which is what put the thought in my head.
Which map ate the most attempts from your playtests?
Thank you for playing! In a late pre-release version of Piston Vault, the first corridor was 2 whole tiles narrower, it was a real thread-the-needle (my playtesters were not happy with the jump between the two first pistons lol). And colouring some parts of the tutorial text is a great idea, thanks!
Neat game, the platforming felt tight, and there was a surprising amount of content for only two days
A genuinely good and complete game. The narrative is fairly simple and somewhat predictable, but it is still charming, coherent, and even carries a small positive message.
The strongest part for me was the gameplay. Everything worked extremely well: the mechanics felt precise, I encountered no bugs, and the variety of locations kept the experience fresh. At one point, I considered stopping because the game felt fairly long, but the pacing improved later, the story accelerated, and once I became more comfortable with the mechanics, the rest went by quickly.
I was also glad that the professor decided to stay with us instead of changing jobs. I’m not sure whether the ending depends on how well you perform during the game, but that would be a very interesting feature if it does. Having different outcomes based on your performance could add even more meaning to the mechanics.
The visual style is not entirely to my personal taste, but it is cohesive and works well. It also took me some time to understand that I needed to plan my route between rooms using the mini-map, but once I figured that out, everything became much clearer.
Overall, this is a polished and well-made project with excellent mechanics, good level variety, and a pleasant narrative.
So cute! I love the swinging mechanic too and the fact that you even bothered to put a fully fleshed out dialogue system shows you put a lot of effort into it. Good job!
This game is really well polished, especially the gameplay and art! It was quite challenging for me, but still really enjoyable. Great work!
This is incredible! The gameplay, graphics, and music are all top-notch! Is this game really made in 3 days instead of 3 years? I'm taking off my hat.
It definitely deserves a full release, and I hope for an expanded version.
The art is so cute, and the movement is really satisfying once you get the hang of it!
Felt really polished as well!
this game is so cool! i loved the gameplay and the artstyle a lot! also this is probably just a me problem, but id love if there were controls written down in the description, because i kinda uhh forgot how to grapple. But the game was so fun!
this was such a cute and fun game... wahhhhh the slime movement was super enjoyable, and I loved the narrative/writing. Incredible polish as well, I'm so impressed!!
I clicked on your game after seeing the cover art, and immediately got hooked onto how the mechanics are simple, yet the levels are difficult. Along with this having a story to it, this is definitely one of the rare game I will download the offline version for to keep playing!
